6-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine derivatives of tetramethylrhodamine is one of the most convenient compounds of Xanthene fluorescent dye tetramethylrhodamine. 6-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine is a long-wavelength dye. Besides that, it also can be used for labeling of biomolecules, e.g., DNA, PNA, and peptides. Fluoresence: λex 543 nm, λem 575 nm in 0.1 M Tris pH 8.0; λex 540 nm, λem 565 nm in methanol; λex 555 nm, λem 580 nm; λex 541 nm, λem 568 nm in DMSO
