The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has held a private meeting with a factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu-Sheriff.

The meeting, which lasted for a little over 20 minutes, was held at an enclosure within the International Conference Centre complex, Abuja, on Sunday.


Saraki made his way into the complex at about 7.30 pm and left around 7.51pm and was received by Sheriff who strolled with him to a corner of the hall where they held the meeting.

Although details of the meeting were not made public, it was gathered that they discussed issues of “mutual interest.”

There have been speculations about political re-alignments ahead of the 2019 general elections even as Sheriff is battling the Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP over the chairmanship of the PDP.

Both have separately vowed to reposition the party towards making it a better alternative platform for the 2019 general polls.

When contacted, the Special Assistant to the Senate President (Print Media), Mr. Chucks Okocha, said while it was true that his boss met with Sheriff, it had nothing to do with politics.

He said, “My principal only went to felicitate with the Sheriffs over the wedding of their daughter.

“The Sarakis and the Sheriffs have been family friends for over 20 years.

“There is nothing usual about them sharing moments of joy such as weddings. It was just a social visit and that is what it is.”

please where do you get this your analysis hmmmm. Saraki have been rejected in Ilorin central since. He will lose voting strength in south south and south east too. Nobody will vote for him in the south west cos of series of corruption cases that's hanging under his neck.

Kwarans can't remove him because they are too gullible to see him for the evil that he is. Despite all him governing them for 8years without anything good development in the state to show for it, they still went ahead to vote his boy into power, thereby indirectly making him the governor for the third time. Four years after nothing again to show for it. No good roads no basic infrastructure that may attract investors and so it, yet again, they voted indirectly again for him for the fourth time.

The key he's been using is, giving them money during the election period and they will easily vote for him, which shows the level of poverty in the state.

Even if they are going to bring him down now, i think it's too late because being the Senate president of this country, the power he's wielding is almost in the same league with that of the dullard in Aso Rock. Saraki is smart and he's got something under his slieve, by the time he unleash it, everyone will be amazed. I'm certain his eye is still on being the president and this is the right time to actualize his ambition with his current power. He himself knows that Buhari can't outsmart him because he doesn't know as much as him in politics.

Unfortunately for you kwarans will never remove him. He remains the political enigma of kwara while the kwara south can rant, kwara central and north are 100000000times with saraki. However, if the remaining act of saraki is to join forces with suffering citizens to retire buhari come 2019, may God grant him. AMEN

bukola saraki the cankerworm of corruption should be remove from Nigeria politics. Since emergence of saraki as the senate president abeg what benefit has he brought to kwara central district hmmm. Saraki is the bedrock of corruption in the senate and up till now nothing meaningful has happen in the senate. Even the 2017 budget will be delay too has expected.

Buhari's evolving dullness is itself a study worthy of a thesis.
I insist he handsover to Osinbajo,rather than we take the greatest risk of aving a Saraki or an Atiku as president in 2019,because these 2 ambitious men av clearly shown pmb can b as easily manipulated as a 2yr old child.
