A Nigerian man who was sentenced to life imprisonment over a crime he did not commit has regained his freedom.

According to Omega Fire Ministry, Lagos, he was released after spending 16 years and 3 months in the prison. Read the touching story as shared by the ministry on Facebook:

"This is most touching, bro Ezekiel was givien a life sentenced for a crime he did not commit. After staying in the prison for 16years and 3months, God visited him through the man of God, Rev Fidelis and Pst Gladys Ayemoba, during the Touch of Love outreach a vision of our father Apostles Johnson suleman this brother was ministered to by the spirit of God.

"After this meeting God step into his case, without negotiation he was released and today bro Ezekiel is a free man.....he came back to return all the Glory to God of this commission for breaking the limit and setting him free, the church was amazed by the mighty move of God and again the man of God Rev Fidelis prayed and bless him financially. This is the best way to end the year(TOUCH OF LOVE)"

So the Christian rulers of Nigeria toss this man into prison 16 years for a crime he didn't commit but now he has to thank Jesus Christ he's been released. Tell me what sort of hell are we living in? Being African is hell on Earth no matter where we are on Earth. Ase.

Okay, just a few questions. Two to be precise:

1. How do we know he didn't do it? Is it he that is telling us so?

2. What were the circumstances of his release? Was he granted executive pardon? Out on parole? Successful appeal? The report says there were no negotiations.

I am curious.

Exactly my thoughts.
Too much mumbo jambo but no gist of his alleged crime and how he was wrongly convicted and consequently exonerated (by the power of prayer alone).

So the man just walked out of prison?..... spent 16 yrs and can't say what he was accused of?.... nor which prison he was released from?.... neither his name nor where he s from?.... and is he an orphan that no one is there with him? Hmmm.... I think I know why no information for anyone to investigate.

Very sad. Our judiciary is wacked. Is it not them (the so called Bar and the Bench) that said "the morality of the law is such that it is better for the guilty to escape than for the innocent to suffer"?

Based on the law of imprisonment, whatever is the appropriate name, days and nights are counted, meaning he actually spent 8 yrs.

Was this meant to be a joke?
Not everyone thinks everybody lies- including about God-related issues.

A lot of people who react like you will have something else to say, like "they bribed someone", "they lied about the term he was jailed for" (someone even said he was paid and he is just hearing about it here) even if the information was provided. Why don't you direct you questions to the church instead. They will be in the best position to answer, not fellow readers here.

And I hope you read it again. It wasn't the man sharing his experience. This is just a Facebook report. Wondering why the "can't say".

Is About Time He Sue Somebody For Being In Jail 16Yrs For Crime He Did Not Commit.
Though The 16Yrs Of His Life Cannot Be Given Back To Him, But A Compensation Can Help Him Cope And Start Doing Something.
