Max steel was just there. Didn't feel the thrill at all.

I think he was just trying to feel some story of pain as a for of distraction to the blinking bright light and heavy noise.

They said when he was a kid that he was averse to bright light and noise. But his dad wanted to grow up mastering it since the world won't stop for him or change for him
