Edit: The state government should change the name of the rice to a more befitting one. We do not have to turn every achievement into a political ish.

Another difference is the branding and availability to consumers

Anambra rice : Poor packaging having the state's name on it which cannot meet anambra population

Lagos rice : Solid packaging with a fantastic brand name and can meet the whole population of lagos state (over 20 million people)

The prices of commodities are not always determined by their weights but the quality of the products. Even when the Anambra Rice is 25KG and a price of 16,500 Naira as against Lagos Rice which is 50KG and priced at 12,000 Naira, the quality of the products will determine which of them will sell.

Where were you when lagos and kebbi partnered into rice production? The rice farm is located at kebbi state. Are u sure bad belleism is not worrying u sha?

In addition, a ninny such as you have no gun on your head when buying a bag of rice. Everything is a scam to dingbats who cannot debunk simple economic fact that quality products are usually very small in size and pricey when compared with large quantity but inferior products. If you are one of the cream of the crops out of Nigeria, there is no need arguing about the dilapidated form of the country.

****Allow the market to determine the price. I said the difference in price could not be unconnected to the quality of the commodities. In most developed world, the weight of a product does not determine the price but quality and sometimes the brand of the product. The sellers of Anambra rice will not force you to buy the rice from Anambra regardless of the price. If the Anambra rice is tagged at 20 naira at 25KG, it would have been a dingbat such as you would declare it inferior and no good.

It appears that everything from the backwater called Nigeria must come from the governor of state or deluded head of state. In a wised up society, products such as Anambra rice would have nothing to do with governor of a state or president of the country but entrepreneurs.
