The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers state has said it does not have confidence in the panel set up by the police to investigate what happened during the Rivers rerun election.The PDP also said the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris is sympathetic to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Punch, the Rivers PDP Chairman, Chief Felix Obuah said the biased role of the police during the December 10 election is the cause of the party’s lack of confidence in the panel.
Obuah said “For such panel to make sense to the Rivers people, the police high command especially the Inspector-General of Police should first do the needful.
“The police high command should do so by proving to the Rivers people and indeed, all Nigerians that he is not a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, or at best, sympathetic to APC’s cause.
“First and foremost, the police high command ordered and did withdraw all orderlies attached to all politicians, only to turn back to attach all the orderlies withdrawn from the PDP politicians to those of the APC.

“There was no APC candidate or chieftain on that day of election that did not have no fewer than 50 policemen attached to them while those of the PDP were left to their own fate.”
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that his government will not assist the police as it investigates the violence and alleged fraud that occurred during the Rivers rerun elections.

why won't he withdraw the orderlies attached to the PDP politicians and attach same to the APC,whn the IG and every Nigerian know that APC politicians have been the victims of asssasinations for the past one year nw.
PDP does nt evn deserve any orderly cos they r the killers,evn without security during the poll,there ws no harrassment or assasination of any PDP politician,bt if it were to be APC without orderlies during the poll,they would have assasinated all of them and yet he has the effontery to spew tantrums.

What is happening to PDP should be a lesson to APC.... Nothing lasts for ever. PDP was terrible, they controlled the police, military, dss etc and with "mbunity" chased there opponents.APC should learn there lesson now b4 2019
