But that does not specifically tell us at which stage of his childhood she became his sweetheart. Plus perhaps the reporter was being euphemistic possibly referring to a childhood crush as a "childhood sweetheart".

The point is, it just seems like the reporter has provided all these little clues to push your mind into forming a particular conclusion which makes the story sound better. But they never explicitly say it themselves, because it might not be true.

My opinion is based on the information provided by the OP, and my point is that, it is possible for people to meet, fall in love and get married without being driven by money. So what's your point? Quit whining already.

Madam no vex o. my point is very simple.

In the info provided by the Op it is never said that the young lady was with the young man from the age of 13. You can only infer it from the fact that is says they 'met' when he was 13 and thus you cannot rely on it to form any subsequent conclusions such as :"she was with him before he had money".

Also note that elite footballers start making it from a very early age. Before the world gets to know about them, they are already the star at the academy and youth levels. Tevez for example was already in the system from the age of 8; thus even if she started dated him from relatively young, say maybe 15 (when he moved to Argentia's top club), by that age it would have already been clear to everyone in his local environment that Carlos Tevez was destined for great things. So in all probability, here is no heart warming tale of true love here.
