Which Libyan authorities? Libya is in a state of civil war and anarchy as a result of the senseless 'regime change' mantra of the western world.

What I don't understand is why anyone is sending their 10 year old child to go and work. And why they would send them to Libya of all places.

And the people who travel to Europe through Libya are mostly from edo state

whenever i see anything like this it always bring about old memory of my immediate elder brother who lost his life on a perilous journey from libya enroute europe . Rest in peace bros may you and all those departed through this perilous journey rest in peace. Amen

Nigerians should stop trying to get to Europe illegally.If you can't get valid travel documents, pls don't travel. The money you pay traffickers can be used for something else. As for the Arabs,they have always been very cruel people.

The government has done the best they could. The agency has embarked on the mission of rescuing immigrants many times this year according to the article.
Libya as of now doesn't have one government since the fall of Gadaffi. Some areas are controlled by militias. The UN agency has access to only one of those area backed by the UN. Other migrants in areas controlled by the militias would find it difficult to be rescued.

There is no place like nigeria. But a lot of people will not agree just because they have not travelled out of nigeria to know the difference.

What bendel peeps go through alone just to reach libya via niger republic is so horrible I wonder what it would cost using the money to start a biz here in naija?

Worse still is kids from 'rich' homes also have same craze...and not kidding

Jeez! Sad reality. I wish those thinking of making the same journey would get to read this.

Problem with the majority of persons is that they hate people who tell them the bare truth. As far as they know, those are the haters that wish them bad. They want to hear that they would succeed no matter how unwise their course of action is.

After that nightmare experience, Nigeria is now a beautiful place to be back in. How ironic!
