You'll be surprised how comfortable you can be on a properly kitted motorcyclist and motorcycle.

My current bike, for example, has heated handlebar grips, heated seat, 12volt outlet to plug in heated riding suit and an adjustable windscreen.

The heated handlebar grips, seat and riding suit sounds like a nice idea, but I still don't think I can withstand the ride for long.

My butt will hurt angry, I can't even recline my seat, stretch my legs.
Hope you're joking sha, Gambia by road? With bike? Nna, go alone o_ safe journey angry.

I've always had this fear that bike accidents are more fatal than cars.

Daddy I don follow you reach this thread and you know the drill. Lol

Can she do the road trip with her Lexus LS600H L, that's what I ordered for her for Christmas.

Road trips are fun in the white man's country but in some African continent is it not suicide. How do you jump the hurdle of custom, quarantine officers, security men, kidnapping, terrorists, thieves, wild animals etc the list is so long.

Incase you are thinking of doing one inform me earlier so I can start planning and budgeting for the trip.

Sidon there they make excuses.

Nairalanders like you like Shagati and co rode to Ghana and back and they weren't eaten by pygmies.

Other Nairalanders drove from Europe to Nigeria.

Just admit you don't have what it takes. It's okay.

PS: I don't care what she makes the trip on. Camel or Moblet are okay. Ajala used a Vespa.

Don't wait on me Sir.

No offense but you'll make a poor travel partner because of your defeatist fears grin

You should join Shagati and crew by getting your feet wet on local sojourns.

It's a special ride, from a special manufacturer to a special person. So it would take a "special time" to arrive. Yoruba adage says "we shouldn't rush to eat something we would eat for all eternity"

I drove from Lagos to kano, but unfortunately for me, my engine knock for zaria. But I fixed it and completed my journey.

Wow.
I thought men take care of their cars _what happened? grin
What causes an engine to knock? How do they fix it_ swap a part of the engine or what? Did you cry? I heard it hurts real bad cry

Lagos to Kano, that's some distance. Do you guys go these distances with a map?
I've gone some reasonable distances, but I worked with landmarks provided by who I was going to see, I was with someone who knows the route or I ask questions (preferably from police officers).

Lol. Funny adage. okay, I am chilling.

Omo you dey speed oo.minna to lagos took around the same time with public transport.
BTT:
Returned to Lagos via same route the following day Sunday, 18-Dec-2016.

Thank God Almighty for journey mercies.

No hitch: Not even a flat.

Left Zaria 6 am dot.

Got to Lagos past 8pm. An hour plus lost to traffic around Shagamu Redemption Camp exchange courtesy of Julius Berger's poor road traffic diversions/management.

Got home. Parked car. 9.05pm

The last pix (side-view of car in my compound) was taken the following morning.
