iblawi:The United States is the Third most populated nation on Earth and it is doing preety well. In fact. most populated nations, with the exception of those in Africa and a few in Asia are doing well.Japan with 128 million has even more sophisticated infrastructure than the USA for example,Germany with 82 million is the same case. Brazil ,well, it depends on the state but in comparison to African nations, it is quite ahead. So,No. As for taxes, we are well aware of Nigerians not paying taxes. It is why we claim to be better than you. Nigeria collects just slightly more than the Kenya Revenue Authority and uses the money to service 200 million people while Kenya uses the same to service 46 million people. Factor in corruption (which Nigeria has far higher levels than Kenya, given the fact that people in your country can even steal both the hard and soft copies of your budget with no repercussions) and you realise that Nigeria must have like non existent government services!! |

Stats dont lie. 11mbps vs 3mbs https://www.africanexponent.com/post/8172-kenya-ranks-1st-in-internet-connection-speed-in-africa Seven out of 10 Kenyans use the internet, making the country the best penetration in Africa according to data provided by an aggregation website. A new report published by US-based cloud services provider Akamai also places Kenya first (in African region) in its analysis on the state of the internet in countries and regions in the world. It was ranked 43 globally.

GERALD710:It is a disgrace of biblical proportions that the entire Nairobi County does not have a public fire engine in working condition,” the paper wrote in an editorial last month. “When (government leaders) were debating their budgets, they did not deem it fit to set aside money either to buy new ones or repair the old ones. But they did set aside money to build mansions for governors, big vehicles for county executives and other needs without a direct benefit to Kenyans. The paper said the collapse of the fire department means responses to disasters is in the hands of private companies and the military. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/kenyas-main-international-airport-and-hub-for-east-africa-closed-after-it-is-engulfed-by-fire-8749221.html%3Famp |

GERALD710:Don't ever quote me again. If you are jobless then find something to do instead of bringing up baseless arguement. Even if it means being a house boy am sure you will be a bit useful. No senseless person should quote me again and this will be my last reply to dummies. FYI, I never said Kenya have better infrastructure than Nigeria. China's population is 1.4 billion India's population is 1.2 billion USA's population is 300+ million. California is 4 times bigger than England with a population of just 39 million and California remains the most populated State in USA. USA is not an overpopulated country for it size. Same goes for Brazil as it own over 60% of South America landmass. This is just like saying Africa is overpopulated with a population of 1 billion people when we all know that almost 1/5 of that population is in just 900 thousand km2 out of 30 million km2. The total area of South Africa is by far bigger than Nigeria and USA is at least 9 times bigger than South Africa. So just multiply the population of South Africa by 10 which is about 500 million and tell me if USA is an overpopulated country? We didn't even put into consideration that south Africa is not even an overpopulated country. So tell us how many people are putting pressure on the available infrastructure in those countries that will make them require expansion after about 10 years? Do you even know Nigeria's population doubles every 25 years? And you feel you know how difficult it is for an African country to do this and still be better than you? You should be ashamed of yourself. If you were wise you will know USA and Japan you talked about are the 1st and 3rd largest economy in the world not in Africa. I don't want to waste my time explaining basic things that anyone with common sense can easily decode. Please, don't ever quote me again cos I hate relating with people without brain. |

![]() PissedYagami:I wish you knew that 51% of 182 million people is almost 100 million while 70% of 45 million people is just about 34 million. I also wish you knew that the more you have people on a network the slower it becomes. You don't even service half of the 51% we have already and more is still being done to increase throughput. |

Ogun State, Chinese Firm Sign $3.2billion Light Rail Contract The Ogun State Government has signed a $3.2bn light rail project contract with the China Civil Engineering Construction Company. The contract was signed on Monday at the governor’s office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, and the Consul General, the Peoples Republic of China in Lagos, Kan Liu, was present. Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who said the light rail would cover both inter-city and intra-city routes, explained that when operational, it would carry passengers and goods across major cities such as Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, Sagamu, Agbara and Idiroko among others. He said, “The light rail project is in two phases. The first will cut across the entire cities in the state, while the other phase will be for the Abeokuta metropolis.” |

Another state about to start light rail project. The construction of a total of 195 kilometres of light rail projects will commence in three different locations in Ogun State in January next year, Governor Ibikunle Amosun has said. Amosun, who spoke in Lagos on Monday at a rail conference organised by Planet Project and Transport of London, said it was the first phase of the light rail projects that would facilitate easy transportation of people, raw materials and industrial goods. “The first phase of the project will include a 57km Agbara-Berger; 54km Ofada-Sagamu; and 84km Abeokuta-Sagamu-Ijebu Ode rail projects, among others,” the governor said. http://punchng.com/ogun-begin-agbara-berger-rail-projects-january/ |

Lol this thread is funny, how big is Kenya and how many states are as developed as Nairobi in Kenya? In Nigeria we have developed States like Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Edo, Ibadan, Kara Cross River, Kano, Kaduna etc The most local tribe in Africa exists in Kenya (the Massai blood drinkers) they are indeed archaic to say the least yet they are one of the prides of Kenya lol just like the Fulanis they value cow even more than human being, imagine drinking cow blood? Tufiakwa! The only thing better in Kenya is electricity besides this there is nothing else they have there that is better than Nigeria. |

I admire Beegeagle much but I'm not a fan of his enthusiasm for collaborative ventures with other African places of congregated humanity. It always seems to me that these African places mean Nigeria no good. To be fair to Beegs, however, I think he believes that working with all the useless places up and down Africa, euphemistically and optimistically called Nations, we as Nigerians may save ourselves bigger problems in the future. Maybe. For me, there are other ways and means. We would be advised, i feel, to go it alone. Do things our way, develop and invest in ourselves, man the borders and aim for the stars. This means Buhari should not be running to no stupid Gambia and should not support Senegal in the venture of trying to uphold democracy in that place. And especially should not rush to support the Senegalese if the Senegalese run into trouble, something that could happen if Israel work to get revenge on them (for that reintroduced UN motion) by covertly supporting the illegal Gambian regime. |

Pidgin2:The only funny thing here is your ignorance and naivety.... i guess you are one among the many Nigerians who have never gone beyond your village or state. Let me enlighten your generator fume mindset that Kenya doesn't constitute states but counties, 42 in total. So to your earlier question about which states can be compared to any state in Nigeria or to Nairobi county: 1. Nairobi county is the financial hub- you probably know about it already -1 International- airport, 5th busiest in Africa -2 airstrips, Wilson airport- regional flights, Eastleigh air base -3 public referral hospitals: Kenyatta National Hospital- biggest in East & Central Africa, Mama Lucy hospital and Nairobi -5 public Universities- JKUAT, Nairobi Uni, UON, 2. Mombasa county is the second richest in Kenya in terms of infrastructure development- -1 city, 2 towns, several satellite towns -1 International airport, 3 busiest in East & Central Africa & 1 airstrip -1 International standard port, second biggest in Africa in haulage. -1 public referral hospital with several sub referral hospitals -3 public Universities |
