Shebi juju no dey? Oya explain this confirmed incident that happened in 1998!
FOOTBALL FANS in the central African state of Congo were hurling accusations of witchcraft at each other yesterday after a freak blast of lightning struck dead an entire team on the playing field while their opponents were left completely untouched

let me tell you something. its a charm alright but like all superstition if you believe in something eh and you hope something happens eh that thing that happen could be attributed to whatever object be it a talisman a charm or whatever okay? like i said it was only a coincedence... do you know how many African footballers keep charms and amulets? the belief it works and you and I know it doesn't. the thing is when luck shines on them and things fall in place, they start attributing it to that charm.

its like religion man!! think!!

There is juju in African football, but it does not help the teams to win matches.
A friend who was a footballer during his secondary school days, told me about a match they were to play against a very tough.school; their coach, a very superstitious person took them to a native doctor to acquire a winning charm.
When they got to the native doctor's (nd)place, he brought out a white basin and filled it with water. The nd then told the friends and his other team mates to look into the water in the basin.
The nd told them that if they see their opponents images, in the water, with their backs turned to them, it means that they will lose the match, but if their images were facing them, then it meant my friends and team mates will win the match.
Unfortunately, when my friend and his colleagues looked into the water, their opponents backs were turned to them, meaning they were going to lose the match!!!
The nd suggested spiritual baths for my friend and the other players, so that they can win the match.
My friend, reluctantly agreed to the bath as he is a staunch catholic and the coach was threathening to drop him as a player.
At the end of the day, their opponents still thrashed them by 4-0 !!!
The above incident shows that the team, in sports, that is likely to emerge victorious is the better physically, mentally and technically grounded team.

God bless you, i watched the documentary too, the players were complaining inside the plane of horrible smell because of the things those babalawos brought with them, they were beaten like thieves in the world cup, lost all 3 matches heavily , went back to zaire with no government representative to welcome them back....and most players went back to their initial profession like shoe making, taxi driving etc
