I remembered as a kid on December 31st,1983; we saw our parents clutching the transistor radios and we were told there was a coup. We heard the National anthem being played and latter the voice of Maj. Gen.Buhari that the military are now in control.
Year 1984 saw the change of naira denominations and not too long, the hardship that followed saw military men going to lockedup shops and started distributing things like rice,milk,sugar and essential commodities.
33 years after we are facing similitude of same.
God bless Nigeria.
