What do you mean by voicemail? Don't just think and say. You can do better than that. If you have insider info, you will know Babs leaving has nothing to do with the wait after he has left. You could be right to say he partly caused the wait before he left. For the recruitment, its end will come when it will come.

Dude calm down.
There's a difference between ur optimism and reality with 10 sources giving 11 different info.

Knowing 9ja there's a real possibility that this exercise is cancelled or magomago enters.
Nothing they do will surprise me.

As always, Father let your will be done.

Happy new year everyone. 2017 is going to be a great! year.

Lol! Forget the sources. There is only one source, the HR team through the mails they send. Haba!, the person that called you for medicals, sent you a mail for Resume and thereafter sent you another mail that you should wait assuring you that you would be updated should be taken more seriously. Now, you prefer to believe 10 sources with 11 info. If you say there are problems that have led to the delays, I will believe you but I can't believe that a company like NLNG would run this kind of race and not complete it. It's unimaginable! Several multinational coys have conducted medicals and left candidates for years before calling them to resume. It is very unwise for any company to cancel a recruitment of this kind after taking it to the very final stage. There might be delays and there might be changes of several kinds but cancellation is out of it. This coy will actually be employing experienced guys as GTs and that's a plus to them. Though some of us will turn down the offer when it comes but I won't entertain the notion of cancellation. It is not just possible. The following things are possible:
1. Stretching the recruitment to its validity limits for whatsoever reason they might have( I suspect 'leave them, we will call them later)
2. Getting possible issues like accommodation and training arrangements concluded(This could be a possible cause of the delay)
3. Making necessary changes to the recruitment itself(this might include getting more people "medicalised')
4. No Money! (I doubt this! If this were to be the problem, they would called some persons to resume)

In conclusion, I would suggest we remain prayerful and optimistic. In fact, let's continue speculating optimistically. Our future employer has also had a wonderful time with this recruitment. They will explain to us when we meet. Let us all enjoy ourselves and wait for the call even if it will come in 2018! #runs away from thread

For the experienced hires wait listed it was the end of the road for them Dec 2016 as it became 18 months after they received the mail saying...their performance had been adjudged bla bla bla....

The GT wait listed still have till the last quarter of this year I suppose? So, we should relax. The GT recruitment is still in course and offers and possibly more medicalls will come in due course.

Heard scenario 3 is where the current impasse lies. So we shd pray that none of us is ousted.
Though my eggs are in several baskets whichever hatches 1st I follow.
Somehow I feel for NLNG cos it’s not entirely in their hands. Seems we might be the oldest and most experienced GTs in the history of mankind.
What I would give to hear from artmedia cry

Pls the waitlisted, was any time period given before it expires?

As always Father let your will be done.

The recruitment is still valid till somewhere around 4th quarter of 2017. Someone else can confirm. I think by August it should still be valid for both medicalled and wait listed.

multinational organisations have done worst in the past. Haven't you heard of offer after more than a year of medicals before? Where are those with such experiences? Come and share please. I don't want to call names.

Bros, GTs still dey ground. After we don resume, ask the question again we will have answers by then. For now, our minds are on when they will call us. Sorry for your loss dear, just focus on gaining more experience, who knows, they might want some experienced people in 3, 4, 5, or 6 years time.

Nothing personal Man. If not for the present situation, 99 percent will reject this offer when it comes. Why? It shows that this company lacks vision, standards and process. There is no prospective GT that has got any positive thought about NLNG right now... Thats the truth. In my experience I would think NLNG should be done with this process. NLNG is not an EanP firm, even the eandp firms that the oil price hit badly have recuperated and are looking forward. I was on this thread sometime May last year, talking hard on those who wanted a feedback badly but with this now, I can't say anything other than " Shame on every NLNG personnel involved in this process"

Don't worry, we will all cross over. It will soon be over. When we are in, we will know what went wrong, what is wrong and what will go wrong and we will someday be in positions to stop things from going wrong. Let's just stay positive.
