Buhari should continue to chase Fayose for not clearing up all salary arrears like Okorocha has done in Imo state, and Aregbesola in Osun. Oh, I hear Oshiomhole paid all arrears too before leaving.

fayose is truly the headache if this people. here in kwara, local gov workers, primary school teachers and pensioners are being owed more than 8 months salary. our governor said he receiver 5 billion, but he released only one billion to pay one month out of more than 8 months salary arrears. even that one month, some yet to receive it, yet, no one is asking what he did with Nov n Dec allocation. but no one is talking cause he is an APC gov abi. they will now be shouting fayose upandan. liars!

I read the report and if the condition is to use 50% to pay salary then Gov Fayose has not breached the agreement.
May be you missed this from the news
Reacting to the allegation on the telephone yesterday, Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo, admitted that the state got N8.8 billion from the Paris Club refunds.

But he said that the state’s share of the money was only N5.3 billion, which he said could barely pay one month out of the arrears of salaries owed the civil servants in the state.

According to him, the wage bill for a month stands at N5.2 billion.

Therefore, if the state's share of the money is N5.3B and monthly wages is NN5.2B, do the mathematics sir.
And you believe that Commissioner of Finance fake assertion that Ekiti state, arguably the state with the least allocation in the country, with just 16 small LGs can have a wage bill of 5.2bn?..Furthermore, the money is split into that of State and LGs,but ask yourself if there's a functional, autonomous LG in Ekiti and many other states in this country to claim the other part of the money.Mr. Man, don't allow these insincere politicians like Fayose continue to fool you even into this new Year.

I laugh when some people that has neva been to ekiti say ekiti people love fayose. Guys what u read and see on the Internet can be deceiving. Any popular rich nuisance can go to the market and cut kpomo too. Ask ursef who are the people u c behind him while cutting the kpomo? This same people will follow Fayemi to the street if he decide to cut kpomo as well.

But from the report it doesn't look like the money was diverted ...he got 8.8billion and paid 5.2 for a month salary to state worker and the balance was actually for local government which the state received on their behalf and equally paid out to them ....so why make it look like the money was meant to offset the 8'months salaries,in arrears.

U are a liar, I am in Ekiti, so we love him so much. Fayemi, Segun Oni, Adebayo combine have not beaten the records of Fayose in any area. His emergence this Second time is not by accident. Fayose do make Ekiti popular. Who knew Ekiti when the slow poke Segun Oni was there or the corrupt Fayemi. Though, Fayose is not a saint and even dirty than the rest but His achievement and Success non can beat. You can't just win Fayose as he as never lost any battle.

Did the news of Arebgesola clearing all backlogs of salaries not grace the frontpage??

If Arebgesola has utilised the funds for what the presidency advised, then there will not be unnecessary searchlight on him.
hey bro!

News glancing the Nairaland homepage is not a full evidence of reality and existence.

Where is the vindication for the Governor that has been paying half salary for the very large percentage of his labor force since July 2015 (18months half salary).

Fayose got same funds and he is still reluctant to pay backlogs of workers salaries.

Imagine his commissioner for Finance claiming Ekiti wage bill is 5billion. How possible is that?? Ekiti that receives 2b from FAAC as monthly allocation is having a monthly wage bill of 5billion.

Let Fayose do the right thing, and he will be praised for it. When Fayemi handed over to him, Fayemi was only owing 2 months and Fayose publicised it to the whole world. Now same Fayose is owing a record 8 months! And he is still reluctant in using available funds to offset the monies owed workers.

Infact Fayemi would have even cleared the 2 months before he left if not for Fayose that went to the banks not to grant the state govt over draft, and the vindictive PDP led FG govt, which prioritised payments to only PDP states.
That is Ekiti State's problem.

The fact that Fayemi was owing two months salary before being voted out was a sign of insensitivity to the workers' well being. Of course, how many States were owing salaries then?

I will access overdraft from Zenith Bank this monday, so that u will amortize it in future when it is due. Fayemi should deal with his shit, and allow Fayose deal with his own. There's enough shit already for everybody.
