Please let's be honest with ourselves. Anybody who is scammed on this thread shouldn't be pitied IMHO. What's difficult in running background checking on who you want to trade with? Or maybe people are afraid of verifying who they are about to trade with.

I'll keep saying it: it is greed that is making people get scammed. If someone works very hard before earning his money, he will not be lazy in running background check before dealing with anybody.

Some people will think they are wise. When they are scammed twice, they will know they know no better.

I believe it's time to bring in the use of some selected escrows and paid escrows I mean...

If you're always looking for free escrow service, escrows will be overwhelmed and they will begin to turn down escrow service for you ...

I escrowed for over 5 transanctions yesterday alone and the painful part is most of the transactions wasted over an hr of my time which I'm supposed to be using to find clients on Fiverr...

Will u expect me to escrow for people again today when I keep losing my valuable time and nothing is in t for me...

To avoid scammers on this thread, it think it's time to start use of selected escrows and we pay them a very small fraction of the transaction involved ... Maybe btw 2 and 5 %....

ALSO THE MODS WILL ATTACH IT BOLDLY TO THE TOPIC THAT ALL TRANSACTIONS SHLD BE DONE WITH ESCROWS IF THE SECOND PERSON ISNT TRUSTED AND VERIFIED AND HE ISNT WILLING TO SEND FIRST...

My own is that anyone that refuses ESCROW (no matter how big on this thread /forum) is a potential scammer... The day just never reach to plunder & take off...... They create a false " i don't send first/use escrow to disarm and lull people into a false sense of security"..

If the escrows can't be FULLY verified, no talk for there.

You can't just choose some random ppl as escrows cos they have been dealing here for long, its not about familiarity or how long u av been on nairaland.

Trusted ppl are now stealing with fraudulent ways ,therefore any escrow will be fully verified by some selected ppl to know their house, place of work, photocopy of their means of identification and these ppl must be fully employed and not some fake ppl forming big man using ppl's money to do business.

Don't talk about escrow with just online trust cos it isn't enough.
