Did anyone see how some Nigerians are supporting Diezani? ?? I read all the posts above me and I can see why I don't feel bad for poor Nigerians anymore. $156 million was stolen and some folks that their entire family can't even put together 100k naira are supporting corruption. We are doomed!

Why would Magu traveled to London on an official duty for an investigation after Senate had refused his conformation as the EFCC boss?

I can see the CHANGE starting with PMB and his boys.

Magu is in acting capacity and that Senate confirmation has nothing to do with this trip. He can continue acting for 4 years self.

What I find wrong in this visit is:

Must he be the one to go?
He could have sent some agents.
And I don't like all these Publicity when investigation is ongoing, culprits ain't dump. I'm sure they'll be frantically tidying up all loose ends now.
Things like this should be done covertly

Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim magu has left Nigeria for London in connection with the investigation of the ex-minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke and some upscale properties traced to her at home and abroad..

The discovery was made by operatives of the anti-graft agency in the course of their investigation of public funds allegedly stolen by the former minister. The investigators conducted a search on some of the houses on the estate.

According to reports, about five bank chiefs are likely to face trial over the $153million allegedly withdrawn by the ex-minister from the accounts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation( NNPC) in December 2014.

Fighting corruption in the media. Keep making noise with no action. You've finished with the 2.1 billion dollars dasuki matter with 0 conviction, now you've moved to Diezani. Please just do your work or whatever it is you are doing and hand over to the EFCC chairman when he is finally selected.

I think she stole a lot of money. Also she is in a free country UK and can deny the allegations, sue or fight for herself more than you can do on Nairaland

Just to add that Magu did not go with publicity .These pictures were not protocol pictures.

Also there is a level in bilateral legal issues that only EFCC Chairman can go for those asking about level

When it reaches the level of extradition maybe even he would be too small and the AG will go.

I read all these posts and I just shudder?are these posts written by sane human being??at the mention of that huge amount of money,I wouldn't care if the looter is my father, he MUST vomit that money.by all means. It is very hilarious on how the Europeans reduce Africans to clowns. The picture of the so-called acting boss of EFCC, Alhaji Ibrahim magu, being surrounded by certain minnows explains the level of respect accorded to Africans beyond African borders.
