Using oil treatments also help with hair loss. I haven't tried making my own coconut oil but it's something I am open to doing.

transitioning could be very tricking but be patience with that crown...
1. use a silicon free conditioner...
2. prepoo your hair before you shampoo to help prevent any harshness while scrubbing the hair
3. apply a protein treatment at least twice a month.
4. always have a protective cover or make sure your hair is either braided or twisted when free.
5.moisturize often with either hot oil treatment or a cream moisturizer
6.sleep on a satin pillowcase or wear a satin hair cover
7. trim your ends very often. especially wen damp
8. above all,be patient...

will add more tips as i remember them. am just doing a random tin ryt now.

for those of you experiencing hair loss or slow growth. worry less.

you could use guava leaves water to stimulate the growth of your hair. simply boil the leaves in the pot for some minutes, allow to call and drain out the water from the leaves.
Go ahead and apply the water over your hair, gently massage ur scalp in the process. cover with a shower cap for 30mins. you can then rinse your hair with water when done or shampoo.

guava leaves has a lot of vitamins. most especially vitamin E which is an essential ingredient for the hair.
I've used this on few occasions I must say its amazing!

no ma,it aint a leave in conditioner.
some people apply it as a treatment before conditioner...
but some people feel it will be too much food for the hair doing both at once...
its all about how your hair feels at the moment

My hair is four months old, ever since I started the journey, I made use of vo5 shampoo and yes am aware it contains sulphate but I also got to know it can serve as a clarifying shampoo to remove buildups and since I wash my hair like once a month I felt it was ok. So I ran ou and am not planning to buy anytime soon cos i wanted to try the dudu osun but I heard someone say it doesn't remove buildups, please how true is this?

a sulphate shampoo aint good for the hair. no matter what and i really dont know how true it is that a sulphate shampoo can remove build ups...
anyways, dudu osun removes buildups cos its purely natural but not 100%. i only rely on it to treat my dandruff and itchy scalp.

if you wanna get rid of buildups but all you have is a sulphate shampoo. dilute the shampoo before application to reduce the concentration or you can reduce the quantity applied at a time. i hope i answered your question.

BTW,washing your hair only once a month is not the best. twice to thrice will do.

why not. you dont need to cut your hair when trying to go natural. you can undergo transition, that is trimming off your relaxed hair bits by bits from time to time. this allows your natural hair beneath to grow out successfully...

there are other ways of taking out build up from the hair. either mix baking soda or apple cidar vinegar with your shampoo. a clarifying shampoo helps but it should be stopped when your hair recovers seeing it contains sulphate

do you know that in the absence of your hair conditioner and you feel the need to wash your hair. You could opt for Rice water. Don't worry, its simple
.
.
Rice water will do the work. Yes,you heard me. Rice water works perfectly just like the conditioner. all you need do is to pour some cold water into a lil quantity of rice in a bowl and wash(scrub). when your done washing, filter out the rice and you have gotten your water to use.
apply the water after your shampoo,it will work the magic better than our conditioners.it softens the hair and equally adds natural ingredients to your freshly washed hair.

you could equally use filtered water from boiled rice but please let it cool first. this water has been the saviour to my hair since i found it. its creates the softness even more than the conditioners. I call it my Miracle Rinse.
am gonna try it on my natural hair
