It's good to be informed ooo. That was what saved my black self.
I Jejely went to the Bank to request for a new ATM card . After much ado of filling the forms et al, I was told to sit and wait for it. Alas, it was an instant Card.... In my mind I was like Yuppie!!!.
Few minutes later, I just heard the customer relations Officer asked who is **Phunkyposh** I answered immediately and she was like I should verify my bank Verification Number (BVN). In the process of doing that, I was told my date of birth is not correct with my other accounts . In one word, I can't get my ATM card.
I was heading home in the bad mood oo... That was when this middle aged man approached me asking for Awori Estate at car wash bus stop.(Despite my mood I offered to help) .Those familiar with Egbeda will know there is no such place. I told him I don't know where he was talking about as I don't reside in that environment. The man told me to ask a particular man on his behalf.... I guess he thought the jazz was working as I asked the man. As I was asking, the next thing the man said was I came from Cotonou ,I'm a supplier, I came to see one madam, I have Dollars. As he wanted to dip his hand in his pocket to bring whatever trash he had. I just changed it for him.
I was like I know his type and I'm not interested in his dollars. I walked away talking to the man I asked for the location. That was how the man asked me what tribe I was? Started stories that touches the heart and tickles the butt that he owns a plaza.... Bla... Bla... Baa sheep.
My sixth sense just told me they were together I sharpenly walked out and shouted Barawo.... Ole.....As onlookers were watching he walked briskly and crossed to the other side of the road. The other man too crossed and I saw them together. Before I could say NAIRALAND, they had disappeared.
That's how God saved me ooooo .
Please let's all be careful, Festive season is around the corner Please let's be vigilant and not get get carried away. Help me praise God.
