Following a statement by Deji Adeyanju, a PDP spokesperson, that President Buhari was not invited to the inauguration of Donald Trump as 45th president of USA, Malam Garba Shehu(Buhari's spokesman) has said the American government does not invite presidents/heads of states to presidential inauguration. In a series of tweets, Shehu said, "Gentlemen, I think we should respond to refute this falsehood. The US does not invite Heads of State or President to the inauguration of their Presidents. Our President could therefore not have been snubbed." Adeyanju had in his statement said ex-president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan was invited to the inauguration which holds on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Americans can never invite a corrupt scumbag like Jonathan to their presidential inauguration. It would have been a crass endorsement of corruption.

The presidency deems it necessary to refute Deji's tweet very swiftly but takes ages to react to other pressing national issues such as herdsmen killings. You guys are just pathetic.

Besides, as of today, no court in Nigeria has convicted Jonathan for corruption. So, direct your tirade to Buhari under whom N270m was spent in cutting grass.
