Good day my fellow nairalanders i decided to ask pawpaw growers in the house this question (dwarf pawpaw )to be precise ,i went to the ministry of agric. To source for pawpaw seedings dwarf variety it was 800 per seedling . So strolling round then i came across this people that sell seedlings in nurseries (olericulturist)same dwarf variety was 600 per seedling .so my question is this are they the same variety or one variety is superior.your contributions will be necessary thanks in anticipation. |

Whoever sells any variety of papaya seedling above 300 is an agrorobber. What in the hell is,going on where u are? Its N50 in federal college of forestry in jos(semi dwarf though). |

I sell N500 per seedling. I do not care what anybody says. I have a niche market and I satisfy their needs. My seedlings are raised from seeds of pure breed dwarf hybrid not a mutated breed planted and harvested in a farm in Jos. All seeds are not the same. mr purebreed dwarf , please face ur ministry. OP got the message, it is foolery for any serious starter to buy any yeye seedlings for 800,where each f1 seed from seedco pack cost less than 60Naira. I disdain folks teaching new farmers bitter lessons in the name of profiteering. NB .any acclaimed grower that plants a pawpaw one feet from a wall , is no better than a rookie. 2 Likes |
