Those who have processed a TRV from the US while on a visit should kindly share the documents they submitted, how long the process took, if it was their Naija address that was used and if their Nigerian bank account statement was accepted.

I will be in NYC shortly for 2 weeks and will like to know if and how i can apply for a Canadian visit visa during my stay.

Any info will be appreciated.

I learnt that your return ticket has to be booked for 4 wks travel and the application has to be submitted immediately you arrive US as the processing time is within 3 weeks so as to make provision for the outcome of the visa within your travel period. As for the document you would need a domiciliary account; since you are on visit to US, you can print out your dorm acct online and attach the followings:

Flight itinerary to canada from usa as well as your return ticket.
*Hotel reservation for like 3 to 5 days (3 days is more realistic though) not exceeding 2 to 3 days to your return to Nigeria should be more reasonable, for instance if your return ticket is from Jan 28 to Feb 25, then you can book canada hotel reservation for/within 18th to 22nd Feb.
Tour booking of place you intend to visit (added advantage).*
Detailed letter of application stating your information and your intention.

I think that is about all, however there is still room for more suggestions and advise

Since you are visiting New York, take a visit to the Canadian Consulate : 1251 6th Ave, New York, NY 10020, USA. and apply in person.

How do you intend to pay for hotel and flight costs to Canada?

So it can be possible from USA and am wasting my time waiting for this people here in naija for almost 80days for Trv to canada when i ve valid Usa visa

So I learnt o, but am yet to get direct details from anyone who has gone through this route
