Some of you are taking advantage of this thread to lie here. How old were you in SS1? what exactly were you taught in primary 5/6 and JSS1 and 3 in primary, health science and Integrated Science? cos personal hygiene is one of those things taught in school and you are expected to put them in practice. If your dad bathe you in SS1 and didn't bother why you couldn't do it yourself then he isn't a good father. Too much pampering is what has made our generation so dull, weak, lazy and not productive. As a boy, at age 8,i have started learning and practising how to bathe by myself well and I became good before I left for secondary school. So much lies on nairaland sometimes, some even saying their father bathe their sister who is age 21,chai...Any man who still bathe his daughter who has reached puberty age is insane.That's how some of them start and we hear story of a man sleeping with his daughter and impregnating her. Bonding with your female kids/children can be done in other ways. Bathing them at puberty or Teenage stage is a NO NO for me

For me i had to fight my mum to stop bathing me outside in JSS2 at age 12. And this is because my mum is not educated and as far as she is concerned i cannot do it well most especially on important days, like sallah day, first day at school, new year day etc and mind you its in front of the house oh, outside, i had to start running away and serve the punishment later when yabs from friends became unbearable so my broda stop using your own situation to judge others.

As a parent , it s just natural to bath your kids, get in the swimming pool together or go to the beach with them , they jump in your bed , cuddle you and you just want to PROTECT them and make sure they are happy.

Any man that thinks he might be temped bathing a 3yrs old is a pervert and mentally SICK If he is saying he might be tempted , then he is already thinking about it . He should not be allowed near children ... let him get himself a girlfriend , a wife or go to Perverts rehab.

when your daughter get to certain age 6,7 8 and you start to feel uncomfortable , just tell her to wash her privates herself and help her with the rest or just supervise her bathing till she can she do it properly. By the age of 6 7 or 8 , she should be able to bath herself while you supervise and make corrections......by the age of 8 9 she should be able to wash herself properly.

My sister s son 6yrs is in year 2 ...... school already told them their private is private and no one should be touching it and they should not be exposing it to people. They might start getting uncomfortable when you bath them or touch them there.

My daughter is 6yrs i still bath and dress her for school. Still clean or wash her bombom if she poo

And I never felt a thing..Infact it annoys me atimes knowing she's gonna bath the next day or expecially when she's going to toilet..

Good day, I don't know if this is the right thread to post this or not. Pardon my ignorance. I was listening to a radio programme yesterday, a question was raised. Should a man bath for his own daughter who is over 3 years. I personally do not have a problem with that. I don't see anything wrong in this. A man then called in, he said can't bath he's daughter when she's older than 2 that he's human and might get tempted. Please, I'd like you to share your opinions on this issue.

The man that called radio station is a very big olodo and i suspect that he has some problems. I bathed my baby until she was 8 and supervised her bathing for some months after. Nothing wrong with it.
