In an interview with our correspondent, Senator Adesoji Akanbi (Oyo South), said although Sani spoke the mind of the lawmakers, he was too harsh on the Presidency, being from the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress. See how an afonja defended his master A slave is a slave |

Stupid_ Senators. How can they pass a resolution of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria based on Interim Report? And they did not exhaust all opportunity to hear from the accused person. Now they will have to do the same thing over again; this time procedurally. I read the widely criticized letter from the President. He said he could not act on their resolution because 1. It was an Interim Report 2. It was signed by three out of the nine members (The Senators disputed the number) 3. The accused was not invited to defend themselves (The Senators claim otherwise). |

Am I the only one seeing this as a form of retaliation from the senate to the presidency over Mr. Saraki? |

For those saying where the senate sleeping. I have a question for you. Has any of buhari inner cacaus appearee b4 the senatr on any of the invitation. From AGF, SGF, etc. Below is the further report on SGF shunning senate invitation This is not a retaliation as seen by some comments, what is good for the good must also be good for the gander https://www.punchng.com/missing-n2-5bn-sgf-shunned-invitation-says-senate-panel/ |

kITATITA:Did you listen to the news. He was invited thrice but refuse to appear. What does that mean to you. And moreso, if interrim report will make NJC to be forced to suapend judges then Babachair lawal muat be suspended to be prosecuted. What ia good for goose is also good for the gander |
| Re: Senate To SGF; Defend Yourself Or Resignl by Nobody: 8:32am On Jan 27, 2017 |
engineerboat:Yes I am very current with political and economic developments; you also quoted where I stated that the Senators dispute the claims that the SGF was not invited. No, the NJC did not suspend Judges based on interim report. NJC excused the Judges from sitting over cases to avoid perceived likelihood for bias and to avoid interference with their own cases. They are Judges, you know |
| Re: Senate To SGF; Defend Yourself Or Resignl by engineerboat(m): 8:48am On Jan 27, 2017 |
kITATITA:So it is good to allow the SGF to continue while investigation on matter concerning his office if on going right |
| Re: Senate To SGF; Defend Yourself Or Resignl by Nobody: 8:56am On Jan 27, 2017 |
engineerboat:The Senate shouldn't have passed a resolution asking the President to fire the SGF based on its interim report. What happens if the final report is at variance with the interim report. The Senate just exposed its bias. I can tell you from my laymen position that the SGF will be fired; but proper things should be done properly. |

maclatunji:Read read read Meanwhile, The PUNCH obtained an invitation letter written by Sani-led panel in September last year. But in the letter dated November 6, 2016, the committee asked Lawal to appear before it on December 6, 2016. It directed the SGF to come with information on the contracts for the rehabilitation of the Internally Displaced Persons’ Camps in the North-East. The Permanent Secretary in the SGF Office, Aminu Nabegu, in a letter dated December 6, 2016, responded to the committee’s invitation. “On a serious note, the allegations were not treated; they were not mentioned by the President. It was an allegation and the man (Lawal) was given the opportunity of fair hearing. He refused to come and he sent somebody, and he felt the person he sent was competent enough to represent him. |
