The total installed capacity is 1481 GW's which is 1,481,000 MW's of electricity.

Get your facts right,what you calculated here is just China's Hydro power. China generate the bulk of their Energy from Coal added with Wind,Solar and Nuclear.

I don't know why we should all be on a national grid or have coal power plants, am Yoruba, i like fashola but i think the power issue is rocket science for him now he should resign.

US, CHINA, RUSSIA still depend highly on coal for power, if the boys in the creeks won't allow the gaa to flow, lets switch to coal please, its everywhere in the country, enugu especially will feel the economic boom more than other cities.

My question is since Nigeria privatized the power sector, why is it that Nigeria still produces the same amount of electricity?
