As we all know, the high aspiration for the biggest hard drive is constantly escalating as the days go by. In the year 2016 Seagate announced a 10TB hard drive to the general public, and now the well known company Seagate is back again with a great announcement that an even large 16 Terabyte (16TB) hard drive is in the pipeline for release next year which is the year 2018.

However, we have seen similar and even dramatically bigger SSDs (Seagate has a 60TB solid state drive), the 16 Terabyte (16TB) hard drive would be in fact the single largest magnetic disk drive ever produced if it actually makes it to market next year. More also, Seagate is noting that the 16 Terabyte (16TB) behemoth would still be a regular size of 3.5-inch drive, meaning that one will likely be able to use it freely in a regular desktop as the case may be.
