there is no breeder of English mastiff in Nigeria, if you need OEM you need to import them. The breed is the first breed I fell in love with. Perfect family dog, gentle giant.

it is very costly unlike caucasians and the likes. Keep $3000-3500 and 2500 for import. I have many professional breeders contacts.

You can't be so sure bro, i've seen two here in Owerri already but unfortunately they are males ( Pictures below from Owerri dog walk 2015) and i've lost their owners contact. I believe there are some in Nigeria, i just gotta look in the right places hence the reason for opening this thread.. You'll be surprised at the breeds we have here in Nigeria

Nice to know. But the ones I am seeing here are far from what I have seen abroad physically and online. They are not as bulky. You might need to check online and compare, you will see the difference. however these ones might look inferior because of the quality of feeding. Thanks

Yea bro, they are not as bulky as the ones online but i believe that is because of the quality of feed. However, i would prefer a slim/fit dog to a fat/bulky couch potato any day any time

Bro, those aren't English mastiff... Not close at all... English mastiff don't share that colour. They are mostly apricot fawn, brindle, Silver fawn... Any one having an English mastiff here in Nigeria will definitely have his pedigree papers showing the lineage of the dog... I wouldnt say u can't see one in Nigeria, in fact I know some breeders who have pedigree Siberia husky, Utonagon, Tibetan mastiff.... This are very rare breed in Nigeria but trust me some dudes breed them here... So I think you might find one.

English Mastiff coat colours are fawn, apricot, brindle, golden fawn, light fawn, silver, tiger or brindle.

Color aside, you simply cannot compare pictures posted from the Internet to the pictures of the ones you saw in owerri.
Head size,Limb length, chest width etc.

you are very wrong. The bulk of the the dog u posted online is from fat and not muscle. And trust me apart from jos, a fat dog will not do well in Nigeria

Bro examine the pictures i posted from Owerri dog walk and tell me how big those dogs would have been if they were bred overseas, their ribs are clearly visible meaning they are not well fed. And i have seen these dogs in person so i know what i'm saying because they are way bigger than the average South African mastiff

every dog has a working version. That mastiff is definitely the working type. Mastiffs have large bones and most of their weight comes from their head and head don't have fat. Hwlw55 is right. The pictures you posted out there are not OEM, they were mixed with boerboel.am impressed by the height of the slimmer dog though.

Nice dogs, really tall ND definitely have trait of the English mastiff, but the head structure has questioning

They look like a boerboel greatdane mix to me tho...but cute
