this is so wrong, you don't beat up a kid like this you're only only telling him that when next he steals he would receive more beatings

he's an orphan what stopped those people from giving him money? food? care or just drop him at a government center which help kids like these?

see the way the boy was beaten up sef cos of DVD player Mehn it's really sad

caring goes a long way

most times you just gotta spare the rod

I really feel pity for the guy, not that I'm supporting his action, but why beat him like this? I wish they can set him up into something useful instead of this beating to harden him the more.

Please. Try to imagine it even if you don't know one orphan. It is a bad world. Sure there are genuine things to do, but a kid orphan isn't likely reasoning the way you are. His own world is different. Totally different.

Its not an excuse. There are many other genuine things to do.

Well inasmuch as am not supporting the boy's act, but at that same time I feel for him.
Every child need care, a roof over their heads, someone to correct them when there are wrong, education is much more than important to them. The possibility to quench hunger is unlimited, for a child surrounding by this woes any taught that comes into his mind is acceptable.
He is an orphan, and no one care to know if he has a roof over his head, food to eat, probably if he ate the previous night.

What the society know is that they caught a thief no one wanna read and evaluate the story and the pain behind it. They mercilessly handle him.

Destitute hardly grow to become responsible humans cos of the way they are exposed, different people they met and how this people influence them. It's a high time Nigerian government should take full charge of care for them.
For this is a great way for creating a transparent and a crime free future. Its an easy way to eliminate miscreants and hoodlums in society for now and in the future.

I rest my case
well said!

i do not support stealing but if the guy had approached you for help you would have abused him from head to toes, now you've made yourself a judge and sentence him. God is watching you....

just looking at that boy, you can tell he is facing some real hard hardship.
if anyone knows him in person, link me to him and i place him on a monthly salary.
wtf.
if u don see suffer before u wont maltreat children that resort into crime.
not that anyone should support criminals but some deserve mercy and assistance.
we stop beating and killing young criminals, instead we should rehabilitate them.
hardened armed robbers not included though

Walk a mile in his shoes first. U have no idea how it feels to be alone in a world full of people. Even Jehovah, calls Himself the father of the fatherless. He needs love and not hate. grin
