The month hasn't ended and you're already apprehensive about salary for the same month. What do you want your counterparts in the state civil services that are owed 6 months to do? You should be grateful and count yourself among the lucky ones in this godamn forsaken country.

I doubt if you know how a torch-light works so I believe it will be difficult for you to know what makes Nigeria work and how it works.

Which salary? Is it the one that reccession is waiting for? Abeggi, they should double it if dem want us to survive.
Salary is overated.

From previous years the January salary usually comes late. Most times 1st/2nd week of February. The budget passing used to be the main excuse. Though this year we are still implementing the 2016 budget.

This is one of the reasons why January is considered a long month.

You guys must learn to save something extra in December. Not to spend all on Xmas celebrations.

While it sounds like bad advice-conflict of interest etc- Get multiple income streams. Even if it is agriculture/farming which the Government allows for civil servants.

Nigeria is secretly being robbed of the revenue she's getting. Many federal civil servants are being owed even December salaries not to talk of January that just ended yesterday. Buhari doesn't know what is happening. His health is a big distraction

They are paying same people every year, so what stops them from ensuring january salaries are prepared and things sorted on time?

Next year January, I'm sure same thing will happen over and over again!

This is why Nigerians should learn not to depend on a single source of income, especially if that source of income is none other than SALARYYYYY!!!!

He said it but people ignored him.

In 2012, we were saying that payment of salaries was no longer an achievement of government cos it was regularly but now just as it was in the 90s, government is now listing payment of salaries and pensions as one of their achievement in office

We are back to the dungeon

We received November Salary 23rd of December 2016. Since then, we have not been paid December Salary. A peaceful protest was done few days ago, yet to cognitive impact on appropriate constituted authorities. We are yet to receive January salary as at reporting time.
