Age is not a factor but his enviroment and the circumstances someone will have been through in life. There are peeps who are well aged but acts like kids. They are termed 'kidults' by peeps.

His case is either he is playing a game or not. But if it's who he really is, then its purely based on his exposure or perceptiveness.

Don't be surprised there are peeps quite younger or about his age who are more mature and perceptive than much older peeps. Some are based on experience while some are innately precocious. A heightened form of emotional intelligence that may not even be from past experience in which age has nothing to do with.
