Nissan Primera: Manual Or Auto? by justt: 7:32pm On Feb 02, 2017
Please I'm planning to get a Nissan primera 2001 (salon type). From my visit around, I have only seen the manual.

I actually I prefer auto, more so that my wife will have to use it. She has not mastered auto and I don't think she will master manual any time soon.

However, when I went to the auto shop, the seller said the manual is better than auto as the
auto model develops faults too often. I wouldn't know if he said this just for me to buy the manual, which was even the only one available at the auto park here in Akure.

For people who have used these cars before please can you share your experience both for manual and auto

Thank you

Thanks Baylord01. Please what is your experience so far with the car? I will like your comments on general maintenance cost, fuel economy etc. How long have you been using it?

Maintenance and feul economy is excellent, bn driving for it for 2yrs (got it second hand or third or....) At least I travel with it for noting less dn 800km weekly and I ve never for once stop on high way looking for mechanic, just that i do change my shaft every 4month.

And what's the cost of the shaft like?
Is it because you bought second hand (Nigeria used) that you have to change the shaft so often?

sorry that my reply is coming late. I was seriously discouraged about the automatic type and was advised to rather go for the manual.

Thank you
