“I managed to borrow some of the money from the bank where I am an Executive Director and surrendered it to the EFCC through my legal counsel and was eventually released from detention on May 20, 2016." So First Bank gave this guy billions of Naira loan just because he is an executive director. This money belong to innocent depositors like us. No wonder the stock price fell from more that N20 to the current N3.5. First Bank executives were knee deep with the Jonathan government in looting this country. The days of reckoning will come one day. |

Aufbauh:Exactly. Now, how can a bank executive have such amount of money? How did he come about that volume of cash he said he paid back to EFCC? If he claimed not to be guilty, why did he accept to pay that N9, Billion to EFCC? In fact, this country is in a total mess.Se the way he is talking about N9, Billion naira as if it is 9 thousand naira. He stated that he sourced the money from his bank and friends. |

andyanders:I don't even know what I could do with 9 billion naira if I could manage to "source" that fortune from friends and family I'm just numb |

kalindaminda:Mehn, it is disgusting hearing the kind of news going on in Nigeria that someone stole that kind of money and is here talking trash that he agreed to source and refunded same to EFCC. An old man agreeing to refund and at the same time trying to now tell EFCC that they don't know their job for him to wanna go back to the court to fight EFCC. They should arrest him and jail him. In China, he will be publicly executed for such crime. We honor crime here in this part of the world and I start to ask, are black race a curse? How does he want to eat that kind of money? Billions at his age or he want to transfer same to his grave and continue to enjoy when everything herein on face of this earth is vanity. |

You must be mad mr dauda lawal if u think Nigerians will believe that you would forfeit N5bn just because you are seeking freedom? Where did you get the money? Those that loaned you should be investigated too? How do you intend to repay? I can see you are really stupid and insane.... Police should arrest you for an attempt to mislead the genral public |

Aywire:Exactly on point. He is fraud and should be investigated, arrested and prosecuted. Where did he get such amount of money just to secure his freedom? |

kenonze:Exactly why I find it difficult to criticize Buhari. In my opinion, Buhari might be incompetent but he's not corrupt. On the other hand, Goodluck Jonathan was both incompetent and corrupt at the same time. I don't even wanna think about what Nigeria would be today if GEJ and Diezani are still out there stealing Nigeria's treasury dry. The GEJ administration was worse than the worst ![]() O pari |
