All this so called protest is distracting. It will go no where in effecting change.
Since you are very wise to know that our protest will go nowhere in effecting change, please tell us what will effect change.
You can also add what you have done in this regard.
Thanks.
Meanwhile, we the youths are tired of the same story of being leaders of tomorrow while the looters steal away our future and deprive us of basic amenities.
United, we say- #EnoughisEnough.

Silence over this CHANGE and the existing political order is a conscious submission to Gerontocracy and Totalitarianism….Enough is enough

We cannot continue observing. For over 40years, the Bamanga Tukurs, the Buharis, the Obasanjos, the David Marks, the Tinubus, the Sarakis to mention a few have preoccupied our political system with no achievements in tandem with the wasted years except largesse buildings and fat offshore accounts. We want new surnames. What have the youths benefitted? They allow our educational system to deteriorate to a stinking mess; they themselves have no confidence in our hospitals.

They are jittery to travel on the very roads of the country they govern. They have hope in the loot of our treasury, their confidence fuels from their fat bank accounts. They send their children abroad for QUALITY education while we wander hopelessly at the mercy of a messy education system here in Nigeria. Whenever they are sick, our treasury is emptied to ferry them abroad while the common man lacks the resources to get Paracetamol from the nearest local pharmacy talk more of affording the substandard medical care obtainable here…..Enough is Enough

How many youths have they groomed to take after them? they continue calling us leaders of tomorrow. Which tomorrow? When will it ever come? And if we keep quiet and our nation is decimated, where shall we govern and flourish our talents when that tomorrow ever comes?

They are quick at coming up with youth empowerment…who are they empowering? With what? They share OKADA to the youths invariably killing their destinies and confining them to OKADA riders to prevent them from ever learning or disturbing to retake power. They prefer us to always be at their mercy. They want us to be pliable tools come next election.

We talk of unemployment, no vacancies. It is a big lie from the pit of hell, they never wanted us to know. I got in touch with a Senator’s daughter who was studying medicine in Birmingham. Whenever she is on break, she works at the power ministry. The girl has not graduated but already have a nice federal job waiting for her while many Phd holders roam the street with files every day and night in search of anyhow jobs. We have been confined to 2nd class citizens. What of the recent employment in the CBN, NPF, Nigerian Air force etc? how many commoners were employed? we must rise from our slumber and retake our country from these cabals. We must rise to the occasion and seek an egalitarian society. The country must be returned to the people. It belongs to all of us. God blessed Nigeria with juicy resources that can go round if these greedy cabals are ousted.

The youths make up 70% of the electorates. Democracy is a game of number, we must show our strength. We must determine our destinies and better our country. We must cease to continue being at their mercy, we must discontinue the pettiness of selling our votes for a plate of portage…it is time to take our destinies into our own hands

Plato once said, he who fails to take part in the electoral process has waived his right to speak if the elected Government under performs.

We Must All Rise On The 6th Of February To Have Our Voices Heard

This is not a military regime and @such, every human has the right to express their self according to the constitutional backing. My fear now is that some Bad eggs will join to misbehave in order to cause rancour and problems that shouldn't have arisen in some parts of the country and @ such...the sole aim of this protest will be defeated.

Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant-media and publicity to acting president Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to the proposed anti-government protest to be led by popular musician Tuface Idibia on February 6.

Speaking on Channels TV programme ‘Sunrise Daily’, Akande said that the people have the right to protest, adding that the presidency is not going to stop people from expressing their fundamental human rights.

He said: ''Presidency is not going to stop people from expressing their fundamental human rights.''

''People have the right to protest. Whoever they want to support or oppose is their right.''

''Government is not in the business of countering any protest.''

Recall that 2Face Idibia had earlier in the week called for the support of his fans and colleagues via his social media platforms to join his march against the crippling economic state of the nation. The protest is slated for Monday, February 6, 2017.

Now you have it! What then is that C.P. of Lagos State yarning about arresting 2Face should the protest hold in Lagos? That man should endeavour to read the Nigerian Constitution to know that protests are constitutionally guaranted.

But police shoot and kill pro-Biafra protesters.

The fear of Biafra is the beginning of wisdom for the Presidency of the Nigeria the zoo without defined laws.

A non- performing government who thinks that people should not come out to protest against their stupid policies and agendas at first place has successfully further instigates more hatred against themselves, for Osinbajo to come out and say that means they have accepted their non- credibility and slow delivery and knew quite well that Nigerians were really angry and above all to win people's sympathy

It's normal to air our views... nobody is happy. But we shouldn't endanger our lives in street protests. Is the innocent citizens that's always at lost...
What if the campaign is to mandate all Senator's and house of Representatives members to half their monthly salaries... this will provide jobs for up to 21,000 Nigerians with an average monthly salary of N90,000 each... that's forward thinking.

We saw peaceful protests all around USA over Trump's verbal utterances even when he hadn't settled down to work. We lend our support to such peaceful protests though we can't all join physically. We saw Police and the role they played. We can go to organised countries for medical treatment and enjoy other comforts of good governance which they fought for. We love and cherish the legendary efforts of Martin Luther King and Mandela who never resorted to violence yet won the hearts of people beyond their climes. The organisers said the peaceful protest is against bad governance at all levels: Local Governments, States, National Assembly, Judiciary and Executive. Governance at all these levels involve all Political Parties that won elections (not only APC and PDP). If the protest was pro-government, are you saying the CP will start making excuses? How can you be defending a man whose wife said she will not vote for again? Life is not all rosy. When you take honey and sugar every day, you are courting diabetes or pile. Any government that wants everyone to praise and support all its policies is living in a world of sycophants. Even the Bible is ..."profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction..."(2 Tim 3:16). When you take so much of scriptural sweets, you may have spiritual pile. Who the gods want to kill, they first make mad. Let the CP make arrangements to guide the peaceful protesters and deal with hoodlums. Very soon now, he will become a "Security Expert" on TV analysing and criticising the government and he expects us to listen to him. No condition is permanent. PDP was in government; now its APC. Diariz God o! Arresting 2Face will surely boost his image and endear him in the hearts of Nigerians who have the final say in elections that are not rigged. The peaceful protest is even coming very late. If there is no money to pay workers, don't pay Governors, Senators etc simple. Kudos to Acting President's office. You can't beat a child and tell him not to cry! Na pass I dey pass.
