Unrequitted

Words you say resonate deep within me,

But I wish them from the lips of another.

Things you do make me wonder,

We developed a bond, a friendship,

I’d prefer it to stay that way.

Though not in the way you’d want.

You crave more, I understand that.

Yet, I cannot give you more of me.

I am your strength in weakness,

I don't see any clumsiness I find in most poems where the writer is trying too hard to rhyme.

if you were a blogger, and Poem's your niche, I'd definitely be itchy to read your next one because I would want to see if you can keep me guessing as you did with this one.
