If you live in owerri and eat outside at the restaurant or mama put.
It will just be management, 200 naira food looks so tiny like is for a new born baby.
I know that is not every bachelor that like to cook, but i think you can save a little if you cook most times.

This topic tells the major reason we have late marriages and abnormal increase in the number of single ladies and guys in Nigeria!

Nigerian youths is time to wake up and challenge Nigerian government to do something about employment opportunities and entrepreneurship development to create more jobs in Nigeria.

Just today, Chinese government rolled out their clear plans to create 20 million well paid urban jobs for Chinese citizens before 2020! That number of jobs alone will make Nigeria better than United States of America!

Nigeria can do it, but tribalism, religious sentiments and partisan politics won't allow Nigerians demand for their right from the so called leaders, it's a shame!

Nigerian ladies stop praying for husband and pray for good government that will create good jobs and business opportunities for young men and believe me, there won't be scarcity of husband again in Nigeria!‎

Are you not an adult? Can you not plan for yourself something as little as consumption based on income? Must every question that goes through one's mind come on Nairaland for answers? Who pushes these useless topics to front page, if I may ask?

Why do some Nigerians talk this? Must everything be about business? Not everyone can go into business.

The guy even tried. 600 naira for feeding in a day is very okay, especially in this economic recession.

The best thing he can do is to buy food stuffs and cook if he is able to cook

600, OK? Even my nephew of 5 years spend much more. Come to think of it, 600 naira, wat will he eat? Rice from Iya basira? Bread and beans from Togolese? Or garri and groundnut? One can't enjoy himself despite working, wat if he has to pay rent? He has to buy all sort of things during d month, like soap, if its where there is no free water, he will buy daily, wat if his phone spoil? Or he jam egg seller for road? Or he needs to visit the clinic?
This is suffering, at d end of each month he will have nothing left or owing debt already sef, there was a time 45k is good salary, but not anymore. Minimum wages should be 80k now. I understand u o, but just stating some fact, half bread is better Dan non, but he should start thinking of doubling that salary

I think the best solution the OP can adhere to is to buy foodstuffs and cook for himself. Trust me, you may not finish the ones you have before another salary sets in...

Not too bad.

That amounts to, from my calculation, N18,000. Do you cook?

How much do you spend on transportation to work?

What are you saving for?

I just pity the guy! God will help you to get a better job! Even if you cook by yourself, 600 is nothing in Nigeria today! I could remember when I earned 50k in a month in abuja and my tfare is #600/day, pay rent of 100k(low cost area), manage #700 for feeding daily! God must reposition you my brother! #600 in a day is near to starvation!

Don't save anything in the first month. i'm guessing you are a bachelor which is good
Now use over 25k to buy provisions like half bag of rice, garri, tomatoes, etc, and use the rest for transport
some of those provisions will last you about three months, now use the remaining for transport and other misc activitiy.
you can save mayb #20bucks? on the second month? then on the third month try to replenish your provisions again. and keep going like that.
