Bro I've been enjoying the low consumption rates now but I'm experiencing a new thing. I don't get any whatsapp notifications except I'm in whatsapp. Once I'm out either seeing a movie or on FB or just any other app, I don't get any notification again. Is that normal? Can anything be done or I'll have to live with it like this?

Settings == Notification of apps. It's not there. Maybe it's different on my phone..

The "Show Notifications" box is ticked, I dnt see any reason u shouldn't get notifications.. ..

Are u using the latest version of the Whatsapp?

I believe the problem is from
Auto backup by your WhatsApp to Google drive
check that the setting for whatapp backup is set to only backup when on WiFi.
Backups to google drive can upload all your chat, pics, videos e.t.c which consume much MBs
To fix it
open watapp
go to settings
goto Chats
goto chats backup
scroll down and select
backup over---- change it to wifi.
