Webometrics has released its first edition of the top 100 Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria for 2017.

The list which was released in January 2017 captures in a descending order, the best 100 Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria based on their websites accessibility . The ranking is released by Cybermetrics Labs, owners of the Webometrics, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de investigacoues (CSIC), Spain, we present you the top 100 universities in Nigeria.

Its not the fault of the eanking. Your uni was simply not doing enough research. Webometrics does not respect any uni even if ui relaxes they would throw it to the back

It's surprising that many Nigerian schools don't have a single recognized research on google scholar, yet they are fast to reject rankings. Ask them which one they accept, they will tell you it's NUC ranking; in which schools are listed according to the year that they were founded!

Lol so much ignorance out there NUC as even denounced the so called rankings. Btw it is very likely cu wld ne ranked in the next THE. They r currently working to get to the 200 journal per yr treshold.

Hopefully, there was tremendous improvement in this year's webometrics towards the 1000th mark
