Omonigeriarere:
And how has the previous administration managed the surplus well if I may ask?

Are refineries working?
Was FG not borrowing to pay FG workers?
Had over 29 states not been able to pay salaries?
Are equipment in our hospitals up to date?
What about our airport?
Did reserve increase?
Why 11 month old strike in Universities(longest in history)
Are our Universities upgraded before creating new ones?
What about diversification of Economy?
Why privatising power and what are the results?

A government that cannot manage surplus cannot manage scarcity: get it right.
I didnt realise that we are still in the campaign period.
Hello,
People voted for a different thing, not business as usual. Let's face the fact when the other government was there things were not right, people wanted something better, but what we have now is far worse, we don't need Bloom berg to come and explains to us that there is inflation, it's too much, people are suffering, remove sentiment and face it.
Prices in the normal everyday market shows the increased hardship .in th country now, you don't need an economic analyst to tell you that things are hard now, let's put our party affiliation aside and talk like Nigerians, with the less money from importation of fuel, this government increased budget by 50% ( from about 4 trillion to over 6 trillion), where is the effecthuh??

You're lacking in basic economic principles to understand how currencies value is determined.

If not, you'd know and understand that Nigerian Naira was already dead and buried by GEJ and his fellow thieves before PMB came.

If not for PMB, many of you would have actually died of hunger. A simple reference is the fact that 29 states were owing their workers for several months before PMB came. It was PMB who had to provide bail-out funds for those states to save the workers and their dependants from hunger that could have sent them to their early death.
Shut up, get lost and never be found. What nonsense bail out are you talking about. The dullard dished out money to his fellow thieves without proper monitoring. Are some states still not owing workers?

Hasn't Buhari been able to manage far worse diminished earnings than GEJ?
GEJ earned billions of dollars and he has NOTHING to show for it whereas PMB with very little earnings is the one who had to bail out states, provide counterpart funding for projects, building roads abandoned by GEJ, and many more.
He's managing it very well and yet, people are in the streets protesting?
Let's be sincere. He might mean well, but he's doing a crappy job.

Nonsense

Tfuly amazing how foolish some Nigerians can be. These people who are proclaiming they are your saviors took the country from 180N to 500N per dollar. Something that had never happen in the country's entire history.

Even when they were stealing and had low oil barrel prices things weren't this bad.

Yet some ignorant purely educated misguided souls will think this is everyone's fault but APC and Buhari.
What the man has simply said is that if GEJ remained on that seat under the current circumstances, the Naira would be about N2000 to $1 dollar by now (Venezuelan style). And judging from the way our reserves were speedily dropping to zero in the last months of GEJ when the oil price began to drop, the man isn't far from the truth.

Just to give you an insight, when oil prices began to drop, Nigeria's reserve dropped from $38.5bn to $28.5bn in 6 months before GEJ handed over to the new govt that came in and instantly enforced forex restrictions; meanwhile this rapid drop was happening when oil still sold above $60/bbl but the Naira still crashed from N160 to N230 despite all. You dont need to be reminded that oil price dropped to $28 last year.. While the forex restrictions may have affected business activities and chased impatient foreign investors away, it was a life saving measure cos you wouldn't want to imagine what would have happened had the reserves continued to drop at that rate down to zero; we wouldnt have been able to import even fuel and a litre would have sold for N1000. There's really no point explaining this further, I'm sure it makes no sense to you.

"A man who can't manage little will never be able to handle surplus".

Don't let anybody fool you. You're absolutely correct on the above saying. One have to be able to manage little to manage plenty.

However, I think the saying is subjective and people interchange and use it whenever it favors their argument. So, you're perfectly right using same to argue your case at this time.

And the bail-out came from heaven/hell after the loot by GEJ's govt?

Or did PMB use his money as bail-out?

We have to keep thanking PMB for rescuing Nigeria. The facts are there that the country was collapsing when he took over.

Madam "Puff Puff" confessed they were borrowing to pay salaries in late 2014 and early 2015 when they sold crude at around $75 per barrel. She later warned of impending economic woes which is the current recession we're experiencing.

PMB has managed to save Nigeria from collapsing.
Remember she advised saving but then governors of which Amaechi, Fashola etc were part of said the money from ECO Account should be shared.

PMB is such a shrewd man that he blocked the leakages and was able to use the meager earning for the bail out.

Why didn't GEJ bail-out the states that were already owing 6-8 months before he left?

Wait, how can he even do that when his own FG had to borrow to pay salaries.

GEJ was a sleeping duck!

ECA is a different kettle of fish. The money belonged to the federating units (states and FG) but the kleptomaniac FG was stealing from it without the knowledge of the states who are joint owners. If you were in their shoes, you'd demand the ECA be shared. I would do same.

And who looted the FG's share? What happened to the foreign reserves GEJ met at $47bn? What happened to the billions of dollars Nigeria earned under GEJ?

We made wrong choices and it's time to pay for it.

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!
NAIRA EXCHANGE RATE vs AFRICAN COUNTRIES:
South Africa: Rand 1= 79 Naira
Angola: 1 kwanza = 12 Naira
Botswana: 1 Pula = 28 Naira
Cape Verde: 1 Escudo = 8 Naira
Algeria: 1 Dinar = 12 Naira
Egypt: 1 Pound = 35 Naira
Eritrea: 1 Nakata = 18 Naira
Ethiopia: 1 Birr = 19 Naira
Ghana: 1 Cedi = 56 Naira
Gambia 1 Dalasi = 9 Naira
Kenya: 1 shilling = 6 Naira
Liberia: 1 Dinar = 8 Naira
Lesotho: 1 Loti = 19 Naira
Libya: 1 Dinar = 156 Naira
Morocco: 1 Dirham = 176 Naira
Madagascar: 1 Ariary = 14 Naira
Mauritius: 1 Rupee = 16 Naira
Malawi: 1 kwacha = 21 Naira
Mozambique: 1 Metical = 24 Naira
Namibia: 1 Dollar = 32 Naira
Seychelles: 1 Rupee = 22 Naira
Sudan: 1 pound = 42 Naira
Swaziland: 1 Lilangeri = 19 Naira
Tunisia: 1 Dinar = 150 Naira
Zambia: 1 kwacha = 28 Naira
Even the worst economies of Africa now have more valuable Exchange rate than us.
As at today $1 = N504
€1 = N550
£1 =N650
N1,000,000 is less than $2,300.
...and some think that we have not reached the break point?
Why una no wan join protest??
Putin (Russia): Law
Trump (America): Economics degree
Merkel (Germany): PhD physical chemistry
Xi Jinping (China): Chemical engineering and Doctor of Law
Buhari (Nigeria): WAEC not found
Yet, somebody wants a growing economy under Buhari. Only clowns and herdsmen can expect such!!!....naija can never develop unless it is restructured... I weep everyday for my suffering and hungry friends and relatives. Those who put us in this mess will surely pay for it....

Manage what:
Paying rent of 11 millionaira for Aso Rock residence in 2016
Budgeting 77 million naira for same rent in 2017
And setting aside 5.6 billion naira for Aso rock renovation.
PMB is a wicked RULER.
Who is he paying the rent To.

How about use of 98 million naira for spoon in 2016.
and budgeting 123 million naira in 2017.

Setting aside 31 billion naira to fight corruption.

MAnaging the reserves and preventing it from dropping to zero and subjecting Nigeria to the Venezuelan situation. If the reserves had continued to fall at the rate it was falling in the last days of the last admin, the reserves would have dried up and the Naira which you complain is N500 today would have been tissue paper (possibly N2000 to $1) had our reserves dropped to the ground.

Meanwhile all Nigerian rulers have been wicked, every thing you mentioned above have been recurring factors in every single Nigerian budget long before PMB.

Lol... the way in which people keep mentioning Amaechi and Fashola as the governors who asked to get their own share of ECA, one would begin to wonder whether these 2 men were the only governors in Nigeria. Or maybe they were the only ones who make up the governor's forum. I would also imagine all other 34 governors at the time were all asking GEJ to save, save and save!!! while Amaechi and Fash were busy shouting share, share and share!!! Meanwhile one also wonders why a FG could not save the 51% of the funds which was FG's share if it really wanted to save. Or maybe Amaechi and Fashola also appeared in a dream to GEJ and hypnotized him to share, spend and squander the 51% undecided
