The title is very misleading. He made a good point about extortion as it is indeed what those guys do these days. But then, it cant be said to be the cardinal reason why prises have skyrocketed- the exchange rate it.

The corruption starts from the minimum wage the government pays. If you pay someone with a wife and 4 children N18000 and he has been sending his children to school,feeding them and surviving; then a government that is not corrupt ought to have asked questions. The country is built on injustice where politicians earn millions and pay ordinary citizens peanuts and expect them not to act corruptly.

did the extortion suddenly happen or suddenly increase. I would assume there must have been extortion even in the previous administration.

if the extortion just started or increased dramatically then they should investigate that.

The Ministers excuse seems a lazy man's excuse to me.

Finally someone addressed the obvious issues with the theives in uniforn. They set up pointless check points that end up wasting time, increasing cost, and hurting trade between countries in ECOWAS.

What about cost of fuel, Diesel and even bad road when truckS spend 2 to 5 days before food items arrive at their destination. Checkout Jebba - Ilorin road.

I think the problem is that there is no agenda.

Secondly, he does not have a change team. Loyalists dont necessarily bring change.

Thirdly, there seems to be no workable solutions proposed.

This is possibly why corruption seems to be on the increase.

No wonder we have recession after their trillions trillions budget in 2015 and 2016.

who appoints COAS, police IG,Customs CG? no be government?

If you really feel say na dem cause food price hike and u really wanna reduce it,why not pressure your appointees or remove them?

Maybe road bribe collection started in 2015 becos food prices started rising upon Buharis emergence as it did in 1984.
