Re: $1bn Eurobond: Fayose Says APC Government Is Behaving Like Prodigal Son by rusher14:
[b]The government needs the loans for capital projects, to trigger enterprise and carry out social development plans.

Presently, our income cannot sustain such undertakings.

Those asking why we would not live within "our means" are the same people lamenting recession. Ask them for solutions and they'll be peregrinating.

You all shout USA, UK, etc but fail to explain their tremendous debt profile.

Roads must be built, train networks constructed, power projects given support and importantly the youth must be empowered through such policies as Npower.

It is when a man has fed he can indulge in research, undertake entrepreneural initiatives.

It is a gamble to incur debt but debt in itself isn't bad.

The hope is these infrastructure highlighted would motivate enterprise.

Goods get to their destinations quicker both locally and internationally.

Power would mean better preservation and innovation.

If Fayose is trying to assume past regimes have been known to incur debt with nothing to show for it then the joke is on him.

Fayose is just trying to fool people because he know most Nigerians were educated illiterate and ignorant. A wise person will know $1 Billion Eurobond can't fund 2016,2017,and 2018 budgets as claimed by Fayose. If 1$ = #500, therefore $1 Billon = #500 Billion. Pls is add to a year budget. Pls be wise.

Who is even dis bastard fayose. Dis is a man who cannot even control a state, a man who some people want him to be president only ro be sharing money. Dis are the people that want the uneducated people to remain stagnant just only with the 1000 naira he is sharing for people to believe he is good. He is only doing dis so that he will get support when 2018 comes cause dis are idiots that we know very well, they stole and stole... So which point is fayose making? Not only by federal allocation but we have governors who embark on good policies and not only relying on federal allocation. Please l watch dis man on channels when he was asked what are the things ings he have done for his state. Only to say they have acquire lands to start growing rice... For how many years went to china train station and the useless PR was there recording him as if he is addressing investors.. Well i support good governors, lagos, anambra,, ogun and many states like that... Well only the uneducated fools will believe him

What has Fayose done to improve the standard of living in ekiti state. He has no moral right to advice anybody becos he is an enbodiment of corruption and hypocracy. All the bail-out funds at 3 different times to FG gave out to pay 6months outstandimg salaries in the state, why did he divert them. He can give 10million naira to bear palour people, 100k for a platoon in NYSC camp for tasting their food etc. Has Fayose not behaved like a prodigal son? Yet the people (workers) of the state have not collected 6months outstanding salaries. He lives like an emperor, where nobody challenges him the way he challenges PMB, else u die by assasination. Recently NLC in the state challenged him that if he (fayose) dares to go on national protest as championed by 2Face, they (state NLC) too will mobilise their penple for a showdown with the governor fayose becos he has no moral right to do so. Eventually he (fayose) did not come out for the rally. 2018 will be very interesting in ekiti state as we awaits the joker Fayose will pull in my state. Shallom.
sinistermind:
When he talks, they'll say his mouth is smelling. He raised a valid point, questions Nigerians should be asking but NO, most have chosen to attack him without any valid argument to counter the issue he raised.

Youths of nowadays tho, old men dey use una future dey joke and una still dey shout APC n PDP. I really hope there'll be a tomorrow for us to lead.

You should have attacked the massage with facts instead.
ApC has lost idea on what to do in order to take the country that is dip-necked in recession out. They taught flooding the economy with liquid cash without any clear cut policies is the way out, this will rather cause more inflation.
Taking such bond is just like postponing the doom day for the future generation to come and suffer.

this man knew he has done something wrong, he knows his corruption case will hunt him as soon as he leaves office so what he is doing is to criticise the govt with everything including what is right, of course wen they want to arrest him after office he will call it witch hunt, and gullible nigerians will believe him, its so sad that Nigerians dont know the game dis man is playing

I see some people in this forum are just blind or maybe just dumb. Is it loan Nigeria needs or more investors? How can we be plunging ourselves into slavery like this, why create more problems for the country within 4yrs, what happens after Buhari's regime is over? no wah o!

The Nigerian government doesn't have any sense. We are nowhere yet want to spend money like develop country. History have shown when we spend too much we tend to actually little or nothing. Those managing our resources have failed Nigerians. I pity those who are still smiling with the government without food.
Re: $1bn Eurobond: Fayose Says APC Government Is Behaving Like Prodigal Son by focus7: 12:31pm On Feb 11, 2017
Look who is talking.

Fayose first give accountu of the money you collected from Jonathan to become a governor.

Give account of the money you collected from Buhari for bail funds.

Give of the money you received from Paris fund.

But if they bring the money and share, our children and children children will not be indebted again. Also if they share the money they are not behaving like a prodigal son again. Hmm naija 4 u...

How long are we going to continue sharing money without infrastructure in place? The bailout funds, what happened?
Re: $1bn Eurobond: Fayose Says APC Government Is Behaving Like Prodigal Son by marv1:
Yes apc states owe salaries but they dont steal to rubbish it on our face like fayose, who stole money with all the evidences against him, still went to bank to collect 5million naira the following day the embargo was lifted from his account just because he believes he has immunity. Mimiko has looted more funds than fayose but he does it with discretion. How many apc governors gave out 10million naira to bear palour people in nigeria? Only fayose. The bail-out funds FG gave at 3 differemt times, which was meant to pay outstanding salaries were diverted by fayose like some governos. If PMB had decided not to give bail-out funds no governor can do anything to him. Watch out as the 2018 unfolds itself in ekiti state. The IGR of the state fayose can not come out and tell us. He refused to implement TSA because he (fayose) is stealing from the corrupt system. He keeps on blaming PMB for economic woes, how many policies has he done in ekiti state to improve the economic situation in ekiti state and liberate the penple from porvety. NONE. Fayose is nothing but a scam, nuissance, hypocrite and a prodigal son of my state.

The evil Fayose is not happy that Buhari government's been favoured; because he vowed last year to pull down the government, and is now obvious that he is beginning to fail; despite patronising naive /gullible men of God. He doesn't have the genuine interest of this country at heart. Take it or leave it Fayose is inherently evil...

*PMB is not the problem of Nigeria*

Please read this post by VOA (Victor Okechukwu Anyaegbuna)
I repeat, PMB is not the problem of Nigeria. Take it or leave it.
So
WHO ARE THE KLEPTOCRATS?
Read this intriguing and provocative piece; yet Nigerians refuse to be provoked instead holding one man, Buhari, responsible for all their woes!
How far can you push a Nigerian before he reacts like an angry lion?
Isn't it a ridiculous mockery and insult that Nigerians are the only world citizens that when pushed to the wall, spend more energy to break the wall and cross over rather than fight back?
Read this and let's know who our real enemies and shameless oppressors are - GOVERNORS, EX-GOVERNORS, SENATORS, REPS. Can't we do something to get rid of these big thieves that use our power against us?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
NIGERIANS WAKE UP!
A lion never shies away from a fight when it is hungry, neither does it blame the buffalo for resisting or refusing to be eaten.
How come our forefathers dared death and everything to give us a sane society?
Shaaaaaame!!!
Please endeavour to read this very interesting piece!

STATE OF THE NATION
A SELF DECEIVING COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA

Twenty-one senators currently receiving pensions from government as ex-governors and deputy governors.

The current senators who once served as governors are Bukola Saraki of Kwara, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, Kabiru Gaya of Kano, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Theodore Orji of Abia, Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa, Sam Egwu of Ebonyi, Shaaba Lafiagi of Kwara, Joshua Dariye of Plateau Jonah Jang of Plateau, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto, Ahmed Sani Yarima of Zamfara, Danjuma Goje of Gombe, Bukar Abba Ibrahim of Yobe, Adamu Aliero of Kebbi, George Akume of Benue and Isiaka Adeleke of Osun.

The former deputy governors in the Senate are Ms Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti and Enyinaya Harcourt Abaribe of Abia. Danladi Abubakar Sani served as the acting governor of Taraba state.

Many former governors are also in Buhari's Cabinet as Ministers. This includes: Ngige, Fayemi, Amaechi and Fashola (SAN).).

In Akwa Ibom State, the law provides that ex governors and deputy governors receive pension equivalent to the salaries of the incumbent. The package also includes a new official car and a utility vehicle every four years; one personal aide; a cook, chauffeurs and security guards for the governor at a sum not exceeding N5 million per month and N2.5 million for his deputy governor.

In Rivers, the law provides 100 percent of annual basic salaries for the ex-governor and deputy, one residential house for the former governor “anywhere of his choice in Nigeria”; one residential house anywhere in Rivers for the deputy, three cars for the ex-governor every four years and two cars for the deputy every four years.

It is alledged that in Lagos, a former governor will get two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja, estimated at N500 million in Lagos and N700 million in Abuja. He also receives six new cars to be replaced every three years; a furniture allowance of 300 percent of annual salary to be paid every two years, and a N30 million pension annually for life.

This is the reality for all the 21 ex govenors and deputy governors who are currently serving as senators. This same is also true of ex governors who are now serving as Ministers.

NOW I ASK:
How many years did these guys serve their states as governors and deputy governors? Is it more than 8years? Is that a reason to be entitled to pensions for life? Even if they are entitled to pension for life, must it be so outrageous?

As if that is not enough: HOW on earth can any public servant with conscience collect salaries and allowances as a senator or minister, and still have the audacity to claim pensions equivalent to the salaries of a serving governor in Nigeria?

IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE......

Once you are elected a senator or appointed a minister, you must forfeit any pension accruing to you from government at any level until you vacate office. This should also apply to senators collecting military pensions like former Senate President David Mark.

Yet these senators are in the Senate that is inviting the current finance minister to discuss the recession of Nigeria's economy. A senator pockets approximately 30 million naira monthly as salary and allowances. Our "honourables" are not interested to make laws that could restructure our country into economically autonomous federating States/Regions to save the country from sectional agitations that is threatening to destroy Nigeria. The sad and hopeless situation is that the rest of Nigerians are busy arguing based on party, ethnic and affiliations while these enemies of state continue to rape us.

Do you know that it costs tax payers 290m Naira yearly to maintain each member of our National Assembly in a country where nothing works & 80% of population earn below 300 Naira a day ? A working day earning of a senator is more than a yearly income of a doctor; it's more than the salary of 42 Army generals or 48 professors or 70 commissioners of police or more than twice the pay of the US President or 9 times the salary of US congressmen.

It's high time the country had a referendum on those outrageous salaries of Senators, House of Representative members and other political office holders.

Has he said anything about the new discoveries on Andrew Yakubu and Allison Madueke? And some intellectual deficient people on this forum are defending him. In fact he even suggested them sharing the bond, what has he done with the BAILOUT FUNDS? from all I can see from the above, he's only pained that he's not carried along. Imagine him saying that the money will cause further recession, that means he lacked public administration understanding. Until he talks about Andrew Yakubu and co, anyone taking him serious is just an ineffectual baboons like him.

Fayose is an enemy of progress who only wants to score cheap political points.only fools and enemies of progress like him, swallows all his words without thinking.
All govt. all over d world borrow,d question is not whether to borrow or not, but d question is how d borrowed funds would be utilized.
Its like two ppl borrowing money, one wants to use his to throw a party, while d other want to use his to build a house, which would be rented out to tenants.
The PDP threw parties with d money they generated and borrowed, but judging by d num of capital projects currently being embarked upon by d APC govt,I am confident if they borrow, paying back wont be a problem,as Infrastructural development would attract more investments which would increase d nations GDP and subsequently better our economy.
Person wey no Sabi basic ethics na hin u dey mind.. I wonder how a very slow human being like that can get to rule over the arguably most literate state in the country. It shows how bad our nation has degenerated.

What a wasted generation, instead of being sobber, considering the maximum damage these vagabonds are doing to Nigeria & its citizens, yet the same youths that should be asking questions are busy supporting them blindly. We knew the condition of this country before the paris club granted us pardon, then we were using a huge percentage of our revenue to service the debt. Buhari and his cohorts are a curse on Nigeria. The damage will become clear when they leave.

Bros simple Economics for God sake. The last time our reserve slumped to like $20 billion, do you know how deep our economy crashed? Now imagine they keep spending from the same reserve, don't u think the economy will become "Zimbabwenize"?
