Please, I'm currently serving but will be passing out in March and I have already applied for the BEA Scholarship. Should I still go? Will they allow me write the exams? I have all other documents except the NYSC discharge Certificate and I'm applying for PG
I am not saying this categorically as true, but I believe the scholarship board should be able to allow you write the test and submit your nysc certificate in the future if it would be needed, since the certificate is not really needed for any significant academic evaluation, it shouldn't post much problem, nevertheless you should get something like a confirmation that can testify on your behalf that you re due to end service by march.

You can still edit your information as long as the portal is available for registration. Log in and go to the area you want to edit, change it and click on save logout and log in to confirm if it's successful. You won't be able to submit again but don't worry about that. You can explain to the scholarship officials on your day of interview and tell them you already changed it on the portal and they should note it

Yes strictly for those that have gone through UG in Russia. If you re picking Russia you should know that they give really little slot for PG and infact there was no PG student from Nigeria last year and also the medium of instruction is Russian. So I would strictly advise against it but it's up to you to decide.

I can't say specifically which country is best for mech. engr. but if I were you I would choose Hungary mainly because the medium of instruction is english so transition won't be a problem and also they cater for basically anything you could need so if the FG should delay in payment of the yearly stipend, you wouldn't be affected to an extent thay will cause you an outcry.

It is very understandable if you read the scholarship details. It is a bilateral scholarship which means the scholarship is supported by two parties (Nigeria and any of the listed countries). The host country (the country you intend to apply to for study) bears the tuition and some other little expenses like accomodation, health insurance and monthly stipend (though this varies depending on the host country), what Nigeria does is to make sure you are convenient in whatever country you re placed hence the Government pays each student a particular sum of money that is enough to cater for your feeding, accomodation, clothing and health throughout your stay in that country as a scholarship student.
I hope I did justice to the question you asked and if you have any other question post it, I ll try and answer if I can
P. S : I am a beneficiary of the scholarship.

hey bro.
pls I missed the test day of my state. which is today. can I still go for the test tmao.

Yes you should. When I wrote mine in 2015, a boy from Lagos wrote along side with us. Oyo and Ogun State were supposed to write that day but he was allowed.
In regards to someone that called me out to clarify the certainty of my information on a similar forum:
Please note that all information I give are based on what I have experienced in the past and what I gather from people that have been through the same process. I cannot guarantee a 100 percent working assurance of any information outside the ones stated by the scholarahip board more especially in cases like yours as it happened in the past things might have changed. Thanks for understanding. God Bless
