your assertion is that since everybody is stealing nobody should be held responsible I guess,if so then I pity your DNA,personally I believe in the present govt should probe every shady politician and bring them to book,my joy will be very complete when the next govt comes in and starts going after the present govt to give account that way web will be making headway...that's my humble opinion if you disagree then keep wailing
Atiku, Tinubu, Amaechi, Aregbesola, fayemi etc all supported this government with stolen money, that is why they are untouchable. The only people the present government deems corrupt are those that are in the opposition. Get me right please, what I am saying is that the apc/pdp govt lacks the morality to fight corruption, that is why they are fighting it one sided. The govt I want is the one that will not be biased or one sided when fighting corruption.

Please no abuse and point of correction, I am not a wailer. You can see that I did not call you names.

Arrest who gave stolen fund full stop.
If you go and donate stolen funds to an Orphanage, it's never the duty of the orphanage to investigate your funds same as the Church or any NGO you are to be arrested when caught and face the music
But Church has the obligation to discourage donation of a stolen money, Infact the pastor is supposed to preach and lay curse on anybody that steals public fund.
But they always pretend as if they don't know, that is why I don't take CAN serious any more Infact they are disgrace to Christ.

This story shows that the Nigerian Church, here represented by Living faith has a problem. People are joining Living faith....and are not being changed. This Army Officer joined Living Faith. If God had changed him, he won;t have been this corrupt. That he is a member of Living faith, and his faith is ''dead'' shows that there is something wrong with the message that Church is preaching.

How can many leave the matter on ground and be discussing Winners Chapel. This shows how idiotic some people are and this is why Nigeria will not get better soon. All these people angry with the church will never get angry with their leaders. They will sit down and be antagonizing the church. Anybody that hates the church hates God. Be it God of Allah or God of Abraham, he hates God and when the wroth of God will descend on the person...only him will run to God for solution.
The major stole money that was meant for construction of military facilities and welfare and I bet you those things the money was meant to do are still there. Next year they will still budget money for those things. And nobody, the auditor general of the federation will not ask his team to audit where all the money leaving the govt going and if they are utilized appropriately.
Meanwhile, they converted the money to dollars awaiting shipping to the US. I am sorry for Nigeria. The little you and I make are carted to abroad and yet Nigeria depletes in economy because money has one source in and different sources out rather than recycling the money.
A time will come Nigeria will not have money again because no money in the system to churn-in & out. And all these people who took the money outside will think they will live and die abroad. They are just using your money to feed the US citizens and when the time comes, you will either become a slave working in a warehouse, or a refugee in another country. Because, whether you like it or not, n America, the system is built to circulate the money between the poor and the middle class. If you choose to do business in Nigeria, ok nah, means you will still come back to Nigeria and you will face the hardship, otherwise people will not buy your products because there is no money in the system.
Foolishness in the highest level.

Then why bring church into this discussion?

Wrong for him to give the money, and wrong for the church to accept it.

Living faith better pay up

Modifed: This is a response to Glorifiedtunde....and to anyone who is defending this wrong deed...

When Jesus called out to people to come and follow him, they did...and were changed. Yes...something happened to the people that Jesus called. They were called out of sin, and called into the Light that is in the world. Zaccheus returned his stolen money. Saul went from being a persecutor of the Church to being a champion of the Church. Peter went from being a scared person to being a champion of the Cross.

Of course, this may be the way God is exposing sinners in the church...like he did for Ananias and Sapphira....and like he did for Achan in Joshua's day. As Christians...we should not let sin in....or Sin's master Satan will follow and set up house, and mess us up.

But this is not the first time. Today, we have many people in churches...not just Living faith, but in Believers Loveworld, RCCG, Deeper life, CAC, Apostolic Faith, yes even Anglican, Roman Catholic, Cherubim and Seraphim.....even Adventists and Jehovah's witnesses....who all claim to be following Christ...and yet are not reflecting Jesus in their attitudes and their lives. We have Christians today who lie, cheat, steal, are tribalists, vandalise other people's property, bear false witness, hate their enemies, call for violence against unbelievers and so on. This shows that the Church is not doing its work well at all. We don't have followers of Christ....we have followers on.

The name Christian came about because in a town called Antioch in what is now Syria nearly 2000 years ago, people looked at this strange and interesting group of people and noted that they all reflected Christ. Hence the name Christian. But here in Nigeria it has become a label. We carry our church membership the way the world supports football teams or fashion labels, we look holy on Sunday....and on every day of the week, we act and behave like Lucifer's brightest recruits.

Time the Church of God in Nigeria woke up. We must return to our first love. We must take up our crosses and nudus nudum Christum sequi

The point is the Church has to be the light of the world, and if it isn't, then the world is in trouble.

Why should Christians steal?

Why should a member of Winners be stealing? Why isn't the message of Christ getting to this sheep?

Church better up it's game.... by returning to Christ, or this country is in trouble

Out of all comments I will honour only you with a response.

If you also view my submission objectively, you will understand what I mean.

Giving such money to a Church of that size ( based on what I know) is like a cup of water in the swimming pool.
Before you choose to assess me as a bigot or blind follower, try to understand how the structure of that Church works.

Millions of people wire monies into the purse from different parts of the world per day.

35 million us barely $100,000. And you have people giving in millions of dollars - either of tithe or project offering.

Now in all sincerity, if the Church decides to refund that money, it will be the best thing to do.

But saying that a Church of that magnitude will take cognisance of one person among hundreds of thousands who give about that amount around the world is not being sincere.

I think many of us just take opportunities to swing at Winners Chapel.

Let us put religious sentiment aside for a minute and say the truth, any educated pastor will know that even the "Chief of Army staff" cannot have "legal" "#35million" to give away just like that, the pastor of the church that received that money should also be arrested as an accessory. #THETRUTHMUSTBESAID

You should know that those transfers were with the company names provided by the said Ahidjo (the witness). Fruadstars do also try to cover there tracks too. Those companies account statement is what is bringing the man into the court.

Not supporting any church, but last time I checked any Tom, Dick and Harry can donation money to a church amount.

Their account numbers, all churches around the world, are displayed on their website, so they don't vet who pays money.

This is just journalists trying to make headlines

He may think he is paying tithe, because the way our pastors preach tithe ehn, they even tell unemployed people to pay tithe, and you ask yourself, from which income?
This will simply make prostitutes, armed robbers and kidnappers feel they should pay tithe.
