Sure, You can. A know a whole lot of engineering guys that never had a taste of technical drawing at O-level and are doing very fine. You'll catch up with time .

You should be more worried about engineering maths than drawing lines arcs and angles...

the engineering maths is nt a problem....Bt the drawing...I dnt like drawing at all

You would do alot of technical drawing in mechanical engineering. If you are not willing to learn it at all, dont bother applying. But if you are willing, you can apply and learn from course mates while in school

OP, what exactly is the problem?? Is it that you can't get the lines when drawing on paper or you don't like the whole concept of Drawing arcs, lines, involutes, ellipses

If the former is your problem, then no worries. Mech Eng students used apps like AutoCad 2D, 3D and now 4D to draw so you don't need stress yourself much.

If the latter is the case then.... Bro, reorient your mentality.


There is some magic in constructing huge complicated isometric drawings using just lines, rulers and compasses.


It becomes a real pain when you're told to deconstruct drawings though

You are sounding like a lazy student. There is no engineering course you will study without drawing.

Currently a 200l student of engineering in oau, nt mech o... But i must tell you i hate drawing.. I only dubbed my way through in the first semester, currently doing same now..
But the stuff is i am not interested in learning.. But if you are ready to learn.. You are good to go

I Am A 300lv Mech Engr Student,Engineering Drawing Is Not That Bad,i Didnt Like Drawing Too But Now I Do. I Can Assure You That With Time You'll Get Use To It.
