Girl please stop sounding ignorant, None of these countries have one language. They just found a way to make it work for them. America for example is filled with refugee who can't even voice a single word in English, people from Texas can barely comprehend what a New Yorker or someone from California is saying because of the strong distinctive accent.
China the fastest growing economy, has the standard Chinese and the Cantonese with various dialect which include the shi dialect, the wu dialect and so many others does that stop Chinese from being their official language.
If Nigeria had wanted her official language to be one of our local languages they would have found a way to make it work. Every single country in the world was colonised at one point or another including African countries like Kenya and Tanzania who still regard Swahili as their primary language.
