Osunbade is getting it alright. Buhari pls take up British citizenship and remain in london.
Long may your vacation last. After osunbade has cleaned up the mess you created, you can now come back and continue management.
His visa will soon expire and the immigration will catch him and deport him for us..... I wish he will just apply for citizenship there.... His presence is making even the trees to die over frustration....

When government is issuing bonds, they are borrowing money.

A bond issued by a country's government, promising to repay borrowed money at fixed rate of interest at a specified time.
"some investors do not invest in government bonds because of their low yields"

I see where this is going to. PMB has not been able to pay his medical bills, that's why he has not come back. So they are looking for fund to clear his medical bills.

PYO please don't approve this policy, we don't want PMB back yet, we won't buy even if you approved it. grin grin

It's simple, Government is borrowing money.

A government bond is a debt security issued by a government to support government spending.

That's not how it works...
In the financial market, anybody is free to subscribe for(buy) as many units of shares, bonds and Treasury bills, either from the primary market or secondary market.
You can visit the DMO (Debt management office) for clarification.
Sometimes these public offers even get over subscribed for by individuals(I hope you understand)

According to Robert Kiyosaki...
"Financial intelligence(FI) is better than intelligence quotient(IQ)
First off, be nice to the guy. He's was trying to have a decent and intelligent conversation.
Secondly, just as the guy said, Robert Kiyosaki is NOT an academic, NOR a financial authority. He's JUST a guy that sold "glittering" principle to millions of people, many of which turned out not to be sustainable. He himself declared bankruptcy (either for smarts or for failure)

I don't personally invest in bonds but I assume on secondary Market in Nigeria Stock Exchange. Bond market is bigger than equity market. If it wasn't possible why qoute price.

One person will just buy off the whole bonds...
If you had read through, you would have seen tje caveat which states a maximum investment of 50million. They envisaged what you fear could happen hence that peg.

But we know Nigerians sha, an individual might wanna use several fronts to but alot more than that- but they stand the risk of losing such if the front dies or decodes to go rogue. grin

Bonds is basicially debt offerings. The Federal Government wants to do some project, so they invite the public to "borrow money" from them with a tenor of 2 - 5 years, in exchange they will pay interest (coupon) on the "borrowed money - Bonds" every quarter (as in this case - Retail bonds) till the end of the agreement. If it was a 2 years bond, your capital would be given back to you at the end of the 2 years.

For other bonds in the market, the interest is paid twice in a year but this one would be 4 times in a year. Very Cool.

Also, interest on a bond can be up to 14 - 17% per annum and it is fixed till the end of the tenor.
