I sat down on the morning
pondering in the summer on the fate of humanity
then the rose I met the previous day crept in
she laid right in the midst of the thorny bush
bugging the soul on how she got entrapped
like a sheep in the den of wolves.
deep down the unconscious pleading for help.

who could have done this to the innocent?
I sat down as a stranger,
just at the road not taken
two thoughts at a cross road not knowing
which to embark on.
but deep down like the messiah
longing to help, what can I do?
if she follows me she dies
but staying back she do be devoured.
sleep cometh not to the soul at shelter
for the soul troubleth coz of the bleeding rose
