Idols are carved from woods, metals, clay, etc. by man or the user or the worshiper. How funny and foolish that is. Longman describes idol as a picture or statue that is worshiped as a god. Worshiping something you created or carved with your own hands is not only foolish but also senseless. My thinking is that you should serve something or being that is stronger than you and not the other way.
