UTME , post UTME and NYSC must be removedfrom the education sector of Nigeria. they can spend a lot of funds on the educational sector. and reduce amount years used in studying, like shorten it to 2 year b.sc degree. and remove useless and foolish exam board like Jamb-utme. it must be scrapped away. it is very useless. and NYSC be scrapped away. both of them are useless to the country. it has not help us. the government must make practicals compulsory. it waste time and energy of youths. the government must make itvery simple. the degree has to be 2 year .

Try and register for jamb lesson dude.
U can't compromise universal education std just to suit ur dunce brain .
Some people will hire mercenaries or register for their o'level in miracle centres and after come up with As and Bs, that their iQ level can't justify, and u expect d universities to admit u into reading medicine/surgery, or other field of study without testing ur knowledge to know if u re capable.

Education will give u the basic fundamentals of technology.
U hv to study and understand the principles of mechanics, kinematics, electronics, waves, hydrocarbons etc before going to practicals.
U can't build a house without a solid foundation.
U hv to understand Biology, anatomy, Biochemistry and physiology before going to teaching hospital to learn surgery and how to administer medications.

yeah, I know all that. but the system of education is low standard. less developed, and outdated. the government has the reduce the duration of time used in it. remove those useless and baseless entrance exams. it has not helped the country at all. they should spend a lot of money on infrastructures of this institutions. each of this must be specialize in its area of study. it must be easy, simple for every one to study. they have to do more practicals. each degree has to be 1 or 2 year duration.

I understand ur concern.
All these stds have already been set. That's why we hv Science secondary schools, technical secondary schools [GTC], Universities for Research and monotechnics/Polytechnics for Practicals.
The problem is that the institutions re under equipped, Many of the lecturers hv little practical knowledge of the course.
That's y ,u will see a graduate of mechanical engineering that doesn't know how to disassemble or assemble an engine of a vehicle.
Our government for sure hv failed in contributing to our technological advancement.
The colonial masters layed the foundation for us, but we absconded from it as they left.
The government really need to partner with the technological advanced countries through their various foreign missions for technology transfer.
They should send their best graduating students in the technological related fields to China, SKorea, Japan, US etc.
Then bring them back home to train others.
Build industries through private public partnership.
I guess, they know all these, but lacked the political will.
Some re too shallow in reasoning, and hv the notion at the back of their minds that blackman can't do what the whiteman does.
They need change of orientation and attitude.
Our government is only good in paper work.
But on the issue of reducing the school yr duration to 2yrs, I think the status quo should stand, rather feasible practicals should be incorporated to enhance our rapid transition technology~wise.
I believe with the leaders in the likes of Abia governor Ikpeazu, Nigeria will progress rapidly industrially.
