I just installed an ordinary local antenna just to be able to receive local channels but when i did my scan i was shocked with the results that i got.
I was receiving all the channels on StarTimes. I wonder if it was just luck or with the new move to digital TV they are now free. So please is anyone in the house experiencing same?

I think its simple science of electromagnetic waves of signal interference. There is somebody in your neighborhood not necessarily your compound ooo, who uses startimes decoder which was detected by your strong LG LED inbuilt technology.

It's not your TV since you're using a local antenna. It's your antenna that draws the signal from a decoder. Please what's the name of that your local antenna? I'll like to have such too

This. It's not the antenna itself it's the TV. Mine receives startimes signals from my neighbours and I don't use an antenna of any sort. Goes to show NTA does not possess the technology to lock signals in a way only their decoders can process them and no other equipment.

It doesn't have a name it is made of aluminum. they used those curtain rail to do it. It is a very simple antenna. Bought it for N400

Your TV has an unbuilt DVB-T2. This is not magic or a new thing, most LED smart TV has the DVB-T2 functionality.

My new led TV is also receiving startimes channels. But apart from startimes guide, other channels are locked (they are displaying 'content scrambled' ). Is there anyway these channels can be unlocked?

Also saw that on my LG TV, although I don't know the model but I know it is 21 inches flat screen but not plasma.
when I newly got the TV it was receiving just very clear local channels with the V shaped antenna. but when I changed location, I had time to go through the TV and even saw another menu different from the menu where u have search and all of that. with time I found out that the new menu I saw was like the software, because from there I could bring things to and remove from the normal menu, eg: game AV 3, nd components which was not there before.
so after all the beating around the bush, I just decided to search since people said channels was broadcasting in Benin city. behold I got channels and another station with my V shaped antenna and it was reading C7(meaning cable 7). wow I was surprised, but there was one problem it wasn't clear and was displaying black and white sometimes coloured. later I did covered it was my neighbours multi TV but I wasn't in control, I could see the stations changing but could not get sound but my neibour uses loud speakers so I could here from there's.
the little enjoyment ended when my brother changed the antenna and scanned only to get nothing and the remote was spoilt and I could not do it without remote.

so pls can any one give me step by step teaching on how to do it so that I would be in control and have it coloured.

thanks for spending ur time reading.

Good morning. I am new to this "gibberish". Do these features come with modern led tvs, and do they help tap signals from neighbours with dstv and gotv?
