It was a flop. I lost money. I guess ibadan is not so good for business. I spent 1,000 on each broiler and was able to sell for 900 naira each to the market women. I guess I have to look for a means of selling to end users and cutting off the middle men... In this case, the middle women.

I don't have a scale, but judging by experience, I would say around 1.8kg. The breed overheat too much. I thought it was my cage, but when I went back to collect my balance from the market woman today, she had other broilers with my broilers, in a well ventilated cage, and it was only my own broilers that were gasping for air. I guess they need air conditioning or something. Or could it be because of the high fattening Top Feeds Finisher I fed them day and night for rapid growth?

Selling to market women is worse off than any other medium.
You would have weighed them and see whether it's better selling to the frozen market.

Well I added Donnay to mine exactly a month after picking them up, they transformed.
Didn't do mine for sales but if I needed to sell I'd sell to end users.
I am preparing to pick up 50 pcs 4 weeks broiler FROM Foltem and rear against Easter.
Mine as at yesterday, 3 days after using Donnay..

Start with broiler that have been fully vaccinated say from 4 weeks
If you'd like layers, buy point of lays.
As you progress you'd start learning.
Don't wait for the best time start no matter how little.
I started with 6,last month, am doing 65 against Easter as I am typing

I said this business is going to cost me less than 10,000 Naira, and I will keep it that way.

Cost so far...

Cost of 8 Broiler chickens- N4,800

Total cost of transportation- N500

Cost of quarter bag of Top Feeds Finisher- N1,030

Total- N6,330.

This is the total cost so far. Let's see how things go in the ext couple of days, and weeks.

It depends on your location. Also, my comment is from like 3 years ago, and I don't do Broiler business anymore ...but I remember a neighbor of mine bought hers for 800.

I raised Broiler only once or twice, so I don't think I am the right person to answer this question. You can start a thread to ask for instructions...you will get all the information you need.
