A true enigma who, by the sheer dint of extreme hardwork and the uncommon grace of God rose from a spartan background to become unarguably one of the most respected and known world leaders.
He himself admits that God has given him much more than is usual amount of grace, favour and second chances.
His phenomenal capacity for studying hard, working hard, playing hard and even using the "Other room" hard at his age is a tale of the stuff of legends.
One day, the full story of this great African will be told. His strengths, weaknesses, failings, triumphs, values and beliefs and how they impacted on the Nigerian Nation will be laid bare.
He was opportuned to have ruled us for 11 years and seven months thereby making him the longest head of state in our chequered history.
No matter what we say and what the historians will write I dare say that Baba Obasanjo will stand tall among leaders & men.
As he firmly takes control of the departure lounge with the divine assurance of being a long sojourner there before finally taking his bow, I congratulate this great Owu man, proud Egba man, quintessential Yoruba man, awesome & self-confessed watchman of the Nigerian nation, worthy African son and respected world leader on this occasion of his 80th birthday.
Happy birthday sir. May you continue to enjoy the grace of God and may it continue to be sufficient for you. Amen.

He has been giving uncommon opportunities a survivalist of dinning with devils of Nigeria without being hurt.what of mko, yar'dua,idiagbon,bola ige, abacha,dele giwa, adekunle fajuyi,muritala and many more. Baba obasanjo knows the economarketing politics of this country but his third term agenda spoiled the show. He can't keep quiet, he knew much about the nation's problem .
